This study aims to identify the accountant's role in the application of green technology in the context of the Sustainable Development Goals (SDG’s). The methodology used in this study was a qualitative method with a literary approach as the foundation for information relating to the Sustainable Development Goals, accountants, and green technology to improve and build human civilization. Changes and developments have persisted to this day. From technological developments to the economy to the standard of living of the people. The development of the world today focuses on the sustainability of environmental protection programs. All existing fields, including health, education, and business, are directed towards sustainability and environmental protection. Green technology is a recent trend that supports environmental sustainability. All industries, even the one usually known as accounting, must use green technologies. The achievement of the 2030 Sustainable Development Goals (SDG’s) program and the role of accountants in day-to-day operations are both discussed in this paper.

The direction of promoting smallholders' adoption of agricultural green production technologies in China

Application of agricultural green production technologies (AGPT) is a vital measure to improve the quality of arable land and enhance the quality of agricultural products. The lack of motivation of smallholders has slowed the adoption of AGPT in China. To reveal the directions of promoting smallholders' adoption behavior of AGPT, this study analyzed smallholders on their green production behaviors by using zero-inflated poisson (ZIP) regression model with 454 rice planters in Hubei. The results found that smallholders joining in cooperatives and developing into family farms were the two main directions to influence their adoption of AGPT. For smallholders, cooperative membership is currently effective in enhancing their AGPT adoption, while family farm is not effective in promoting smallholders’ AGPT adoption. Smallholders are transformed into family farms by transferring into arable land, but the land fragmentation weakens their AGPT adoption. Thus, policy makers should guide smallholders to join in cooperatives to enhance their convenience of accessing to AGPT and establishing a stable land transfer mechanism to enhance the long-term investment. Meanwhile, it is necessary to strengthen the support for family farms and further improve the extension service system of AGPT.

Indocyanine Green Imaging in Laparoscopic Cholecystectomy Plus Laparoscopic Common Bile Duct Exploration: A Suitable Option for Patients With Difficult Exploration (With Videos).

The clinical application of indocyanine green (ICG) fluorescence imaging technology in biliary surgery has gradually highlighted its role, and its role in laparoscopic cholecystectomy plus laparoscopic common bile duct exploration (LC+LCBDE) still needs to be further explored. Therefore, we evaluated the clinical value of ICG fluorescence imaging in LC+LCBDE. Data from 131 patients who underwent LC+LCBDE in our department between January 2019 and June 2021 were retrospectively collected and analyzed. Overall, 59 and 72 patients underwent ICG+LC+LCBDE and LC+LCBDE, respectively, and were assigned to the ICG (ICG+LC+LCBDE) and non-ICG (LC+LCBDE) groups based on their medical records. The clinical data of all patients were obtained, and the differences between the ICG and non-ICG groups were compared. A total of 131 patients successfully underwent surgery. There were no differences in baseline characteristics between the 2 groups. In terms of perioperative results, no significant between-group differences in biliary tract exposure before Calot's triangle dissection were noted; however, patients in the ICG group had better biliary tract observations after Calot's triangle dissection, shorter operative time, fewer complications, earlier postoperative exhaust, and lower hospital costs. ICG imaging can assist surgeons in determining biliary tract structures and injuries during surgery and in preventing operation-related bile leakage. ICG imaging is a technique worthy of promotion in difficult surgery.

Does agricultural factor misallocation hinder agricultural green production efficiency? Evidence from China

The sustainable development of agriculture is challenged by two major issues: increasing resource constraints and environmental pollution. Sustainable agricultural development is achievable by improving green total factor productivity from the perspective of resource allocation. To promote the green development of agriculture, this paper utilizes the SBM super-efficiency mode and thus calculates the agricultural resource misallocation index and agricultural green production efficiency index in China between 2001 and 2019. Furthermore, this paper discusses the temporal and spatial evolution characteristics of agricultural green production efficiency, using a fixed model and spatial econometric models to estimate the influence effect of agricultural resource misallocation on green production efficiency. Below are the results. First, China's agricultural green total factor productivity is growing at an impressive rate, with high efficiency in the northeast, northwest, and southeast coastal areas and low efficiency in the central and inland areas. Second, agricultural capital misallocation, labor misallocation, and land misallocation all negatively impact agricultural green production efficiency. Accordingly, the misallocation of agricultural factors will hamper the growth of agricultural green production efficiency in this region and also in the surrounding areas. Third, the indirect impact on the own agricultural green production efficiency exceeds its direct impact on neighboring regions' efficiency. Fourth, the mechanisms are the upgrading of agricultural industry structure and green technology innovation. According to the findings, reducing resource misallocation can substantially enhance agricultural green productivity, which is an imperative step in addressing agricultural green production. Hence, policies should be formulated that highlight the regional allocation of agricultural production factors and green production-oriented concept of agricultural production. Also, the government should promote the transformation and upgrading of the agricultural industrial structure, as well as the application of green agricultural technologies.

Feasibility Studies and Performance Evaluation of BRTS in Rajahmundry and Kakinada Corridor

Abstract: This paper presents the design of guide way for BRTS. There is some debate about the best type of guide way for BRTS. Bus Rapid Transit System (BRTS) is a high user capacity transport system which delivers very fast, reliable, comfort and cost effective mode of movement for the customers. Since BRTS run in their exclusive lanes, there are very less chances of congestion and accidents. Even due to application of green technologies, air and noise pollution are very less. BRTS has proper provisions for right of ways, easy boarding and alighting facilities for passengers. Moreover with the use of artificial intelligence BRTS stands out quite better than other public transport systems. The first BRTS was implemented in Curitiba, Brazil in the name of Rede Integrada de Transporte in 1974. This service inspired many services around the world. As of November 2019, about 45 million passengers use BRTS every day. Government of India has emphasized on creating SMART cities. In this regard, BRTS will definitely ensure to achieve a good smart city in terms of public transportation system. With increasing population and growing demand for speedy intercity and intra-city transportation services, BRTS will play a major role. This project examines two major cities in Andhra Pradesh; Rajahmundry and Kakinada, both the cities have been declared as a smart cities in 2018, by Govt. of India. It also tries to find out new approaches in terms of cost, quality and time of BRTS in future The speed and delay studies should be helpful for the further alternate route. This work includes alternative routes, proposing foot over bridges where it is needed, intersection models, traffic behaviour in BRTS corridor.

Joint Maritime Bunker Hedging and Operational Consumption Based on CVaR Optimization

Maritime shipping is an important driver of global economic growth. Efficient green maritime technologies are critical for both the profitability and sustainability of shipping carriers due to the fact that fuel consumption has already made up 45–55% of the total operational cost of a ship. Moreover, the application of green maritime technologies also challenges the input/output of the maritime industry. Currently, there is a lack of coordination between the two strategies of maritime bunker management: one is the bunker procurement, which is faced with the fierce volatility of bunker fuel prices, and the other is the bunker consumption of vessel operation scheduling with applicable maritime technologies. To address the challenge posed by the new sulfur emission regulations, the two isolated strategies are inefficient. This study presents an integrated model that takes both the financial technology (bunker hedging) and the operational bunker cost efficiency (sailing speed and routing optimization under emission regulations) into account. The objective is to maximize the total rate of portfolio return considering the revenue and the cost simultaneously. By analyzing the Conditional Value at Risk (CVaR) risk measure, we examined the effects of the bunker spot, contract, and hedging in futures markets on the optimal joint solution. Numerical results from a real-world case study show that the optimized integrating financial and operational strategies yield the lowest expected total costs as well as the highest revenue with CVaR constraints. The findings provide a prospect for maritime shipping as an effective decision tool for bunker management under environmental regulations. The management insights of our study will benefit the corporate participants, policy makers, and researchers in liner shipping revenue and risk management.

Развитие инновационных технологий гостиничной индустрии в условиях геополитической нестабильности

The article discusses the features of the development of innovative technologies in the hotel industry in the context of geopolitical instability. The author substantiates the specifics of the innovative development of enterprises in the hotel industry under sanctions, conducts a content analysis of the information space in the vector of expert assessments of the impact of sanctions on the intensity of the use of innovations in the process of functioning of the hotel business, highlights the main «pain points» of the impact of sanctions on the dynamics of the level of innovative activity of organizations in the hotel industry , the prospects for the innovative development of hotels in the current geopolitical environment are indicated. The paper concludes that the sanctions of unfriendly countries have had a serious but critical impact on the use of innovative technologies in the hotel business. The most destructive impact of sanctions was revealed in the segments of the application of innovative green technologies and the introduction of modern digital platform solutions. The prospects for innovative development of the country’s hotel sector are seen in expanding the use of domestic developments by increasing the digital sovereignty of the state, in reorienting the vector of partnerships in the field of innovation from West to East, as well as in the parallel import mechanism legalized by the Government of the Russian Federation.

As we know today exist a vast and varied literature on the structural designs of buildings the world over .It would be no exaggeration to say that high tech applications in construction technology have vastly benefitted the mankind today as never before. Green building has been define as the practice of creating structures and using process that are environmentally responsible and resource efficient throughout a building life building’s life cycle from site to design , construction operation , maintenance ,renovation and deconstruction . A eco friendly building, which puts less strain on the natural resources and function with lesser wastages, better efficiencies, is more habitable and pleasant to live in. In recent year green building has become the most important product for the sustainable development. A green building is a building which is design constructed or operated to reduce or eliminate the negative impact and create a positive impact on our climate and surrounding. Green building construction providers may environmental, economical as own as social benefits. This paper will give us a idea about as well as advantages and disadvantages about green building and we will also discuss about the use of waste aggregates and green concrete in the construction of green building. Application of green technology to treat fibrous (textile) waste and recycling of used chemicals for reutilization of similar waste

Industrial factories, especially textile mills, usually release untreated waste into the environment. These textile industries produce large volumes of waste that harms the environment and humans. Waste treatment procedures are expensive. However, foreign buyers choose companies with waste-treatment facilities or ecologically friendly methods. In this study, color was extracted from discarded textile fibers using colorimetric analysis, and then synthetic fiber components were recycled using eco-friendly processes and materials. There was also an evaluation of the regenerated chemicals' ability to treat analogous garbage. Samples processed with both new and recycled chemicals were found to be free of color and synthetic components, providing strong evidence that the recycled chemicals are just as effective. The treated materials passed safety testing showing no traces of Azo or Formaldehyde. As a result of the waste treatment process, the samples were in an appropriate state, having lost their color and all synthetic components. Because their physico-mechanical qualities were not altered by the treatment, the samples may be safely discharged into the environment or used as a raw material in the textile industry's spinning division to make fresh yarn. Chemicals originally used to treat fibrous debris were recycled and put to good use in a circular process that saved money in the long run. The method used to treat textile industry fiber waste is feasible for widespread implementation, which is both practical and helpful in the fight against environmental degradation.

Pretreatment of lignocellulosic biomass conversion into biofuel and biochemical: a comprehensive review

The most potential feedstock for industrial civilizations is lignin derived from biomass. The most prevalent aromatic polymer on earth and one of the most difficult materials for commercial application is lignin. Reducing sugars, which can be used to make biofuels and some other products, are among the many chemicals that lignocellulose biomass releases during pretreatment. Lignocellulosic material (LCMS) is a material that is easily accessible, renewable, recyclable, and plentiful. Sustainability has gained traction as a result of climate change and environmental harm. The need for a flexible strategy to meet rising global energy demands has led many academics to concentrate on renewable biofuel made from sustainable sources. Construction of industrial biorefineries using lignocellulose feedstock for biofuel production and other bioproducts. The effective and scalable valorization of lignin is one of the main issues. Its presence prevents the biochemical conversion of lignocelluloses into fuels and chemicals, which depends on the extraction of cellulose and hemicellulose. To produce sustainable energy, lignocellulosic biomass must undergo pretreatment to speed up fragmentation and reduce lignin content. Temperature, time, particle size, and solid loading are the controlling factors for lignin extraction. This study covers the working conditions, parameters, yield percentages, techno-economic evaluations, challenges, and recommended next steps for the direct conversion of biomass to hydrogen. It detailed how green pre-treatment techniques can be used to produce green biofuels, and prospects for the application of green pre-treatment technologies on an industrial scale are also provided. The sustainable lignocellulose biorefinery has a path forward thanks to effective lignin recovery and valorization techniques.

Application of Green Technology to Extract Clean and Safe Bioactive Compounds from Tetradesmus obliquus Biomass Grown in Poultry Wastewater.

Microalgae are capable of assimilating nutrients from wastewater (WW), producing clean water and biomass rich in bioactive compounds that need to be recovered from inside the microalgal cell. This work investigated subcritical water (SW) extraction to collect high-value compounds from the microalga Tetradesmus obliquus after treating poultry WW. The treatment efficiency was evaluated in terms of total Kjeldahl nitrogen (TKN), phosphate, chemical oxygen demand (COD) and metals. T. obliquus was able to remove 77% TKN, 50% phosphate, 84% COD, and metals (48-89%) within legislation values. SW extraction was performed at 170 °C and 30 bar for 10 min. SW allowed the extraction of total phenols (1.073 mg GAE/mL extract) and total flavonoids (0.111 mg CAT/mL extract) with high antioxidant activity (IC50 value, 7.18 µg/mL). The microalga was shown to be a source of organic compounds of commercial value (e.g., squalene). Finally, the SW conditions allowed the removal of pathogens and metals in the extracts and residues to values in accordance with legislation, assuring their safety for feed or agriculture applications.

Application of improved meta-heuristic algorithms for green preservation technology management to optimize dynamical investments and replenishment strategies

In this study, an application of green preservation technology to obtain optimal pricing and replenishment policies is developed. The decreasing value in waste is considered along with retailer dynamic promotional and green preservation technology investments under a price-promotion model with ramp-type demand. To maximize total profits, the study aims to clean the environment while simultaneously optimizing selling price, replenishment schedule, order quantity, green preservation technology investment, and dynamic investment rate. Pontryagin’s maximum principle is adopted to obtain the optimal dynamic investment rate for waste reduction. Additionally, simulated annealing, particle swarm optimization, and BAT algorithms are individually applied to obtain an optimal decision for waste reduction via green preservation technology. Results showed that the investment rate in promotion is significantly affected by price changes and that the investment in green preservation technology is affected by the nature of the product. Extensive computational experiments are performed to validate the proposed model. Under Ramp-type demand, price differentiation is more rewarding than the uniform pricing of the retailer. Results demonstrate the significant role of dynamic investment strategy. It has invested more based on the low-price sensitivity in the second period, and the optimal investment follows a reverse trend.

How are Southeast Asia Countries Embracing Green Home Technology?

Physical development, which includes real estate activities, is currently very active in developing countries. This is especially true in Southeast Asian countries that aim to transform their countries into developed countries. Southeast Asia is rapidly industrialising and growing; this growth has resulted in a rise in energy consumption and environmental effects. Deforestation, landslides, pollution and the greenhouse effect have all been impacted by the global development process, which began in developed countries. Therefore, the idea of a green home or green building which embraces green technology has received attention. A green home is a set of household systems that reduce demand for natural resources and carbon emissions, resulting in improved human well-being, social equality, and a green economy. It incorporates eco-friendly strategies for water and waste management systems, such as rainwater harvesting and water recycling, in addition to energy-efficient structures. A green home is more than just a green building, but it symbolises a sustainable lifestyle based on environmentally friendly technologies and practices. This article aims to review the application of green technology in housing and to explore green homes in selected Southeast Asian countries. Secondary data was used for the purpose of this study. The review of articles found that Singapore is on the cutting edge of most technical advancements compared to Malaysia, Indonesia and Thailand. Meanwhile, Malaysia, Indonesia and Thailand are concerned about housing affordability as this is the foundation for the majority of housing initiatives in these three countries, especially in Malaysia and Thailand.

Threshold effects of green technology application on sustainable grain production: Evidence from China.

Sustainable production is considered as an important approach to solve the dilemma of food insecurity. Green technologies have made contributions to improving food production and reducing environmental pollution. Studying the effects of green technologies on sustainable food production has great significance. The paper started with the influence mechanism of green technology application on the green total factor productivity of grain (GTFPG). With the GTFPG, green technology efficiency change of grain (GECG) and green technical progress change of grain (GTCG) measured, threshold models were constructed to explore the nonlinear impacts of various green technologies on GTFPG and the influence paths. Results indicated that the differences of GTFPG among provinces in China were decreased mainly due to the changes of GTCG, while the regional differences of GECG remained small. The impacts of green technologies had threshold effects that depended on the ecological effects of green technologies in different application stages, and were significantly different in the major and non-major grain producing areas. Meanwhile, significant differences existed in the influence paths of green technologies. In the major grain producing areas, green technologies were more likely to improve GTFPG through the GTCG path; while in the non-major grain producing areas, the GECG path and the GTCG path were both important to improve GTFPG. The differences of green technologies' threshold effects and influence paths in the major and non-major grain producing areas were caused by regional technology preference, resource endowment and technology compatibility. This study emphasizes that the development of green technologies should fully consider the resource endowment and economic development of different regions, as well as the applicability and adoption rate of green technologies.

Li-ion Battery Simulation for Charging and Discharging using MATLAB Simulink

In EV and HEV applications, battery optimization has increased. Lithium-ion batteries, in particular, are increasingly used as an energy storage system in green technology applications because of their high power and energy density. Drawbacks are seen in electric car applications during the storage system's charging interval period. Multi-state charging is seen to be the best option in these circumstances. The state charging of lithium-ion batteries and their criteria for charging and discharging for long battery life are discussed in this study using the MATLAB Simulink tool. The state-of-charge (SOC), which is measured and used to assess charging and discharging characteristics, is a crucial factor in determining a battery's performance. Therefore, accurate SOC estimate is required to safeguard the battery and avoid overcharging and undercharging it. Additionally, by doing this, the battery's lifespan will be extended. Multi-state charging is used for applications that demand greater efficiency.

Do Not Be Anticlimactic: Farmers’ Behavior in the Sustainable Application of Green Agricultural Technology—A Perceived Value and Government Support Perspective

The production mode of “high input, high yield and high waste” in the agricultural system poses a serious threat to the environment and the quality of agricultural products. Accelerating the adoption of green agricultural technology (GAT) by farmers is an emergency measure. However, according to microsurvey data, many farmers give up GAT within a year after adopting it. The implementation of this measure has been anticlimactic. Based on a survey of 1138 kiwi growers in Shaanxi Province, China, this paper builds a theoretical model and conducts empirical exercises to gain insight into the effects of perceived value, government support and their interaction with kiwi growers’ sustainable application of GAT. We find that perceived value and government support have a significant impact on the sustainable application of GAT. Government support plays a moderating role in the influence of perceived value on the sustainable application of GAT. Furthermore, in order to overcome the potential endogeneity problem caused by the two-way causal relationship between subjective variables, “owning a smartphone” was selected as the instrumental variable. The 2SLS model was used for endogeneity analysis, and the OLS model was used for the robustness test. This paper discusses the relevant theories and policy implications of environmental management.

Implications of global carbon governance for corporate carbon emissions reduction

Global warming not only affects biodiversity, but also threatens human health and wellbeing. As the main source of greenhouse gas emissions, enterprises play a critical role in carbon emissions reduction. However, only a small number of enterprises have disclosed their “low-carbon transition roadmap”, primarily due to the lack of immediate payoffs of green investment, which is disadvantageous to achieve net-zero emissions. First, through case analysis of carbon governance in typical countries around the world, we identify effective emissions reduction measures that firms can learn from. Next, this paper summarizes the multi-dimensional impact framework of corporate carbon emissions reduction. Last, we propose a carbon emissions reduction roadmap for companies from four aspects: companies should 1) actively engage in the carbon emissions trading system, 2) increase the application of green technology, 3) enhance corporate governance structure, and 4) ensure sufficient cash flow for low-carbon transition. This study contributes to the framework of corporate sustainable transition, providing practical references for balancing corporate environmental footprint and value growth.

Kajian Potensi Penerapan Extensive Green Roof Berbasis Struktur Kayu di Indonesia

The availability of green space is decreasing along with the increase in population. Since then the land has been replaced by buildings as more people need a place to support human activities. As a result, the absorption of heat increases, causing the temperature in urbanized areas are higher relative to outlying areas (Urban Heat Island). Therefore, some efforts need to be made to reduce heat absorption, one of which is by applying the green roof. A strong roof structure and roof panel are required to implement green roofs. Wood is a material that has both strength and lightweight. However, the use of wood panels for roofing is not common in tropical areas due to the high rainfall. The wood roofing still has a potential to be used through the application of green roof technology that accommodate a waterproof layer and is not easily degraded by planting media. This study aims to examine the potential use of green roofs which made of wood structures and wood roofing in a tropical climate.
