Beyond bread and beer: whole cell protein extracts from baker's yeast as a bulk source for 3D cell culture matrices.

Here, we present a novel approach to form hydrogels from yeast whole cell protein. Countless hydrogels are available for sophisticated research, but their fabrication is often difficult to reproduce, with the gels being complicated to handle or simply too expensive. The yeast hydrogels presented here are polymerized using a four-armed, amine reactive crosslinker and show a high chemical and thermal resistance. The free water content was determined by measuring swelling ratios for different protein concentrations, and in a freeze-drying approach, pore sizes of up to 100μm in the gel could be created without destabilizing the 3D network. Elasticity was proofed to be adjustable with the help of atomic force microscopy by merely changing the amount of used protein. Furthermore, the material was tested for possible cell culture applications; diffusion rates in the network are high enough for sufficient supply of human breast cancer cells and adenocarcinomic human alveolar basal epithelial cells with nutrition, and cells showed high viabilities when tested for compatibility with the material. Furthermore, hydrogels could be functionalized with RGD peptide and the optimal concentration for sufficient cell adhesion was determined to be 150μM. Given that yeast protein is one of the cheapest and easiest available protein sources and that hydrogels are extremely easy to handle, the developed material has highly promising potential for both sophisticated cell culture techniques as well as for larger scale industrial applications.

Design, synthesis, docking studies and biological evaluation of novel dihydro-1,3,5-triazines as human DHFR inhibitors

A novel series of dihydro-1,3,5-triazine derivatives bearing a heteroatom spiro-ring were designed and synthesized on the basis of molecular flexible docking work, and their biological activities were evaluated. Compounds A2, A5, B1 and B3 showed potent human dihydrofolate reductase (hDHFR) inhibitory activity with IC50 values of 7.46 nM, 3.72 nM, 6.46 nM, 4.08 nM, versus reference drug methotrexate (MTX). From the molecular docking result we concluded that the conformation space generated by deformation of the flexible residue Phe31 is favorable for the binding of the spiro-ring, and inserting heteroatom into spiro ring might increase the binding affinity. There were 24 compounds with broadspectrum antiproliferative activity against several tumor cell lines (HCT116, A549, HL-60, HepG2 and MDA-MB-231) with IC50 values ranging from 0.79 to 0.001 μM. The antitumor activity in vivo of compound A2 was determined in a human alveolar basal epithelial cell line A549 xenograft model. This study offered novel anticancer agents with high inhibitory activity that target hDHFR and have a binding mode of the novel molecular scaffold with hDHFR. This provides potent support for further development of novel hDHFR inhibitors.

Anticancer copper pyridine benzimidazole complexes: ROS generation, biomolecule interactions, and cytotoxicity

The Cu(II) complex CuCl2(pbzH), pbzH=2-(2-pyridyl)benzimidazole, and derivatives modified at the non-coordinated nitrogen of the benzimidazole fragment, have been studied as anticancer agents. These compounds show promising cytotoxicity against A549 adenocarcinomic alveolar basal epithelial cells with IC50 values in the range of 5–10μM. Importantly, this activity is higher than either CuCl2·2H2O or the individual ligands, demonstrating that ligand coordination to the Cu(II) centres of the complexes is required for full activity. Electron paramagnetic resonance (EPR) and UV–Vis spectroscopies were used to characterize the solution behaviour of the complexes. These studies demonstrate: (i) two types of solvated species in buffer, (ii) both coordinate and non-coordinate interactions with albumin, and (iii) weak interactions with DNA. Further DNA studies using agarose gel electrophoresis demonstrate strand cleavage by the complexes in the presence of ascorbate, which is mediated by reactive oxygen species (ROS). Through a fluorescence-based in vitro assay, intracellular ROS generation in the A549 cell line was observed; indicating that damage by ROS is responsible for the observed activity of the complexes.

Monitoring the effects of doxorubicin on 3D-spheroid tumor cells in real-time.

Recently, increasing numbers of cell culture experiments with 3D spheroids presented better correlating results in vivo than traditional 2D cell culture systems. 3D spheroids could offer a simple and highly reproducible model that would exhibit many characteristics of natural tissue, such as the production of extracellular matrix. In this paper numerous cell lines were screened and selected depending on their ability to form and maintain a spherical shape. The effects of increasing concentrations of doxorubicin (DXR) on the integrity and viability of the selected spheroids were then measured at regular intervals and in real-time. In total 12 cell lines, adenocarcinomic alveolar basal epithelial (A549), muscle (C2C12), prostate (DU145), testis (F9), pituitary epithelial-like (GH3), cervical cancer (HeLa), HeLa contaminant (HEp2), embryo (NIH3T3), embryo (PA317), neuroblastoma (SH-SY5Y), osteosarcoma U2OS, and embryonic kidney cells (293T), were screened. Out of the 12, 8 cell lines, NIH3T3, C2C12, 293T, SH-SY5Y, A549, HeLa, PA317, and U2OS formed regular spheroids and the effects of DXR on these structures were measured at regular intervals. Finally, 5 cell lines, A549, HeLa, SH-SY5Y, U2OS, and 293T, were selected for real-time monitoring and the effects of DXR treatment on their behavior were continuously recorded for 5 days. A potential correlation regarding the effects of DXR on spheroid viability and ATP production was measured on days 1, 3, and 5. Cytotoxicity of DXR seemed to occur after endocytosis, since the cellular activities and ATP productions were still viable after 1 day of the treatment in all spheroids, except SH-SY5Y. Both cellular activity and ATP production were halted 3 and 5 days from the start of the treatment in all spheroids. All cell lines maintained their spheroid shape, except SHSY-5, which behaved in an unpredictable manner when exposed to toxic concentrations of DXR. Cytotoxic effects of DXR towards SH-SY5Y seemed to cause degradation of the extracellular matrix, since all cells were dismantled from the spheroid upon cell death. On the other hand, 293T spheroids revealed retarded cellular activity and ATP productions upon DXR treatment throughout the experiment. Since 293T was the embryonic kidney cells, the fast clearance or neutralizations could have made them resistant towards DXR. In conclusion, the same degree of sensitivity from the 2D system did not translate to a 3D culture system, resulting in higher IC50 values than the 2D system. The varying sensitivities and tolerances to drugs could be better understood with a 3D cell culture system.

Cytotoxicity of natural allophane nanoparticles on human lung cancer A549 cells

Clay minerals are mainly used around traditional cosmetics and industrial products, but currently their target application is continuously expanding into pharmaceutical industry and tissue engineering. To broaden the knowledge of in vitro cytotoxicity of allophane nanoparticles against human cancer cells, the cytotoxicity of both natural and synthetic allophane nanoparticles for cultured human alveolar basal epithelial (A549) cells was examined. For both natural and synthetic allophones, the A549 cell viability was maintained at >70% for concentration up to 3160μg/mL, implying higher biocompatibility of allophane nanoparticles as compared with that of hectorite nanoparticles. The cell adhesion kinetics coupled with cytotoxic characteristics against A549 cells was analyzed using quartz crystal microbalance (QCM) technique to distinguish the dynamic cell adhesion signatures.

Effects Induced by Organic Acids in a Human Lung Alveolar Carcinoma Cell Line A549.

The present study examined the effects of formic acid and acetic acid on human adenocarcinoma-derived alveolar basal epithelial A549 cells. The organic acids were administered either individually or in combination, into either the culture medium (aqueous phase) or the gaseous phase of an air-liquid interface. When either of the acids was administered into the aqueous phase, cell proliferation was inhibited at doses of 1-10 mg/mL. In contrast, when the acids were administered either individually or in combination, into the gaseous phase of the air-liquid interface, cell proliferation was not altered. Under the gaseous phase administration, acetic acid and mixed acids caused a slight increase, decrease and increase on the interleukin-8 production, the mRNA expression of the heme oxygenase-1 (HO-1) gene and the HO-1 production, respectively, at one or more time points. The results therefore indicated that organic acids might be less reactive in the gaseous phase than in the aqueous phase. However, acetic acid in the gaseous phase either individually or in combination with formic acid exerts some effects on A549 cells.

G4-Tetra DNA Duplex Induce Lung Cancer Cell Apoptosis in A549 Cells.

The specific DNA is typically impermeable to the plasma membrane due to its natural characters, but DNA tetra structures (DTNs) can be readily uptake by cells in the absence of transfection agents, providing a new strategy to deliver DNA drugs. In this research, the delivery efficiency of tetrahedral DNA nanostructures was measured on adenocarcinomic human alveolar basal epithelial (A549) cells via delivering AS1411 (G4). The DNA tetra-AS1411 complex was rapidly and abundantly uptake by A549 cells, and the induced apoptosis was enhanced. Furthermore, biodistribution in mouse proved the rapid clearance from non-targeted organs in vivo. This study improved the understanding of potential function in DNA-based drug delivery and proved that DTNs-AS1411 could be potentially useful for the treatment of lung cancer.

Real-time monitoring of cisplatin cytotoxicity on three-dimensional spheroid tumor cells

Three-dimensional (3D) cell cultivation is a powerful technique for monitoring and understanding diverse cellular mechanisms in developmental cancer and neuronal biology, tissue engineering, and drug development. 3D systems could relate better to in vivo models than two-dimensional (2D) cultures. Several factors, such as cell type, survival rate, proliferation rate, and gene and protein expression patterns, determine whether a particular cell line can be adapted to a 3D system. The 3D system may overcome some of the limitations of 2D cultures in terms of cell–cell communication and cell networks, which are essential for understanding differentiation, structural organization, shape, and extended connections with other cells or organs. Here, the effect of the anticancer drug cisplatin, also known as cis-diamminedichloroplatinum (II) or CDDP, on adenosine triphosphate (ATP) generation was investigated using 3D spheroid-forming cells and real-time monitoring for 7 days. First, 12 cell lines were screened for their ability to form 3D spheroids: prostate (DU145), testis (F9), embryonic fibroblast (NIH-3T3), muscle (C2C12), embryonic kidney (293T), neuroblastoma (SH-SY5Y), adenocarcinomic alveolar basal epithelial cell (A549), cervical cancer (HeLa), HeLa contaminant (HEp2), pituitary epithelial-like cell (GH3), embryonic cell (PA317), and osteosarcoma (U-2OS) cells. Of these, eight cell lines were selected: NIH-3T3, C2C12, 293T, SH-SY5Y, A549, HeLa, PA317, and U-2OS; and five underwent real-time monitoring of CDDP cytotoxicity: HeLa, A549, 293T, SH-SY5Y, and U-2OS. ATP generation was blocked 1 day after addition of 50 μM CDDP, but cytotoxicity in HeLa, A549, SH-SY5Y, and U-2OS cells could be visualized only 4 days after treatment. In 293T cells, CDDP failed to kill entirely the culture and ATP generation was only partially blocked after 1 day. This suggests potential CDDP resistance of 293T cells or metabolic clearance of the drug. Real-time monitoring and ATP measurements directly confirmed the cytotoxicity of CDDP, indicating that CDDP may interfere with mitochondrial activity.

A Novel Cheap and Easy to Handle Protein Hydrogel for 3D Cell Culture Applications: A High Stability Matrix with Tunable Elasticity and Cell Adhesion Properties

Modern hydrogels have a high potential for cell culture applications due to their ability to form 3D architectures resembling the natural environment of the cell. A new cheap, robust and cell compatible hydrogel consisting of chemically crosslinked human serum albumin is presented. The protein gels polymerize within minutes, have high pH and temperature stabilities and combine biocompatibility and biodegradability. Pore size and elasticity were investigated by atomic force microscopy and revealed an adjustable elasticity. Pore sizes were investigated using cryo-scanning electron microscopy. To evaluate biocompatibility, hydrogels were incubated with human breast cancer cells and adenocarcinomic human alveolar basal epithelial cells under 2D and 3D conditions and both cell lines showed high survival rates. All results indicate the versatility of the new material to be used as a simple, robust system with high mechanical and chemical stability and a broad range of possible applications.

Production of hydroxy marilone C as a bioactive compound fromStreptomyces badius.

Hydroxy marilone C is a bioactive metabolite produced from the culture broth of Streptomyces badius isolated from Egyptian soil. Hydroxy marilone C was purified and fractionated by a silica gel column with a gradient mobile phase dichloromethane (DCM):methanol then Sephadex LH-20 column using methanol as a mobile phase. It was subjected to many procedures such as infrared (IR), nuclear magnetic resonance (NMR), Mass spectroscopy (MS) and UV spectroscopy for elucidation of its structure. It was evaluated for antioxidant, cytotoxicity against human alveolar basal epithelial cell line (A-549) and human breast adenocarcinoma cell line (MCF-7) and antiviral activities; showed that the maximum antioxidant activity was 78.8% at 3 mg/ml after 90 min. and the IC50 value against DPPH radical found about 1.5 mg/ml after 60 min. Using MTT assay the effect of the pure compound on the proliferation of A-549 cells and MCF-7 cells was 443 μg/ml and 147.9 μg/ml, respectively, while for detection of antiviral activity using Madin–Darby canine kidney (MDCK) cells the maximum cytotoxicity was at 27.9% and IC50 was 128.1 μg/ml. The maximum concentration required for protecting 50% of the virus-infected cells against H1N1 viral cytopathogenicity (EC50) was 33.25% for 80 μg/ml. These results indicated that the hydroxy marilone C has potential antitumor and antiviral activities.

Enhancing the efficiency of bortezomib conjugated to pegylated gold nanoparticles: an in vitro study on human pancreatic cancer cells and adenocarcinoma human lung alveolar basal epithelial cells

ABSTRACTObjectives: Gold nanoparticles have become promising vectors for cancer diagnosis and treatment. The present study investigates the effect of bortezomib (BTZ), a proteasome inhibitor, conjugated with pegylated gold nanoparticles (PEGAuNPs) in pancreatic and lung cancer cells.Methods: Synthesized gold nanoparticles (PEGAuNPs) were conjugated with bortezomib antitumor drug. We investigated the cytotoxicity induced by BTZ conjugated with functionalized gold nanoparticles in vitro, in the human pancreatic (S2-013) and lung (A549) cancer cell lines.Results: We found an efficient of conjugation of BTZ with PEGAuNPs. In vitro assays showed that after 72 h’ incubation with PEGAuNPs-BTZ cancer cells revealed alterations in morphology; also for S2-013 and A549 cancer cells, the IC50 value of free BTZ is respectively 1.5 and 4.3 times higher than the IC50 value of PEGAuNPs-BTZ. Furthermore, for TERT-HPNE, the IC50 value is around 63 times lower for free BTZ than the conjugated nanovehicle. Cell growth inhibition results showed a remarkable enhancement in the effect of BTZ when conjugated with AuNPs.Conclusions: Our findings showed that conjugation with PEGAuNPs enhance the BTZ growth-inhibition effect on human cancer cells (S2-013 and A549) and decreases its toxicity against normal cells (TERT-HPNE).

PLAG (1-Palmitoyl-2-Linoleoyl-3-Acetyl-rac-Glycerol) modulates eosinophil chemotaxis by regulating CCL26 expression from epithelial cells

Abstract Increased number of eosinophils in the circulation and sputum is associated with the severity of asthma. The respiratory epithelium produces chemokine (C-C motif) ligands (CCL) which recruits and activates eosinophils. A chemically synthesized monoacetyl-diglyceride, PLAG (1-palmitoyl-2-linoleoyl-3-acetyl-rac-glycerol) is a major constituent in the antlers of Sika deer (Cervus nippon Temminck) which has been used in oriental medicine. This study was aimed to investigate the molecular mechanism of PLAG effect on the alleviation of asthma phenotypes. A549, a human alveolar basal epithelial cell, and HaCaT, a human keratinocyte, were activated by the treatment of interleukin-4 (IL-4), and the expression of chemokines, known to be effective on the induction of eosinophil migration was analyzed by RT-PCR. The expression of IL-4 induced genes was modulated by the co-treatment of PLAG. Especially, CCL26 expression from the stimulated epithelial cells was significantly blocked by PLAG, which was confirmed by ELISA. The transcriptional activity of signal transducer and activator of transcription 6 (STAT6), activated by IL-4 mediated phosphorylation and nuclear translocation, was down-regulated by PLAG in a concentration-dependent manner. In ovalbumin-induced mouse model, the infiltration of immune cells into the respiratory tract was decreased by PLAG administration. Cytological analysis of the isolated bronchoalveolar lavage fluid (BALF) cells proved the infiltration of eosinophils was significantly reduced by PLAG. In addition, PLAG inhibited the migration of murine bone marrow-derived eosinophils, and human eosinophil cell line, EoL-1, which was induced by the addition of A549 culture medium.

Studies on influence of polymer modifiers for fluorescent nanocrystals’ cytotoxicity

The presented studies aimed at investigation of the effect of CdSeS/ZnS quantum dots (QDs) stabilized with hyperbranched polyglycidol and its carboxylated derivative on adenocarcinomic human alveolar basal epithelial cells (A549). The first stage of studies concerned the modification of quantum dots with both types of the tested polymers with the use of pyridine as an intermediate agent. Subsequently, cytotoxic effect of the prepared nanoparticles was examined after various incubation time using MTT test (cell metabolic activity assay). Our studies revealed that CdSeS/ZnS with a diameter of 6nm, which were stabilized with hyperbranched polymers do not penetrate into cells, even after prolonged incubation time. Moreover, the cytotoxic effect of the tested QDs was observed over a range of tested concentrations (5–90μM of Cd2+). It was confirmed that tested nanoparticles had significant influence on cell culture viability. The examined cytotoxic effect of the tested quantum dots was dependent on the type of polymer applied and the experiments indicated, that the one bearing carboxylic moieties is more toxic to A549 cells.

Cationic Supramolecular Vesicular Aggregates for Pulmonary Tissue Selective Delivery in Anticancer Therapy.

The biopharmaceutical properties of supramolecular vesicular aggregates (SVAs) were characterized with regard to their physicochemical features and compared with cationic liposomes (CLs). Neutral and cationic SVAs were synthesized using two different copolymers of poly(aspartyl hydrazide) by thin-layer evaporation and extrusion techniques. Both copolymers were self-assembled in pre-formulated liposomes and formed neutral and cationic SVAs. Gemcitabine hydrochloride (GEM) was used as an anticancer drug and loaded by a pH gradient remote loading procedure, which significantly increased drug loading inside the SVAs. The resulting average size of the SVAs was 100 nm. The anticancer activity of GEM-loaded neutral and cationic SVAs was tested in human alveolar basal epithelial (A549) and colorectal cancer (CaCo-2) cells. GEM-loaded cationic SVAs increased the anticancer activity in A549 and CaCo-2 cells relative to free drug, neutral SVAs, and CLs. In vivo biodistribution in Wistar rats showed that cationic SVAs accumulate at higher concentrations in lung tissue than neutral SVAs and CLs. Cationic SVAs may therefore serve as an innovative future therapy for pulmonary carcinoma.

Enhancement of Bleomycin Sensitivity in Human Lung Cancer Cell Line using <i>Centella asiatica</i> Leaf Extract

Purpose: To demonstrate the effectiveness of Centella asiatica aqueous extract in augmenting the cytotoxic effect of bleomycin in the adenocarcinoma human alveolar basal epithelial A549 cell line. Methods: The inhibitory effect of bleomycin on A549 cells was determined by incubating the cells for 24 h in different concentrations of bleomycin. The effect of C. asiatica extract on A549 cells was determined after exposing cells to 5, 10, 15, 20, 25, and 30 % (v/v) bleomycin diluted from an initial 10% stock solution. Based on the 50 % inhibitory (IC 50 ) values of bleomycin, 80, 100, and 120 μg/mL concentrations were tested with 15, 20, and 25 % (v/v) of C. asiatica extract. Results: IC 50 value of bleomycin on A549 cells was 100 μg/mL, and was reduced to 80 μg/mL when cells were co-incubated with 20 % v/v of C. asiatica extract. The results show that C. asiatica extract reduces the concentration of bleomycin necessary for inhibition of A459 cell growth (IC 50 ). While the IC 50 value of bleomycin was 100 μg/ml, it fell to 80 μg/ml when used along with 20 % v/v CA extract (p < 5) Conclusions: This study demonstrates that compounds extracted from C. asiatica may have potential for use as adjuvants in bleomycin cancer chemotherapy. In Vitro Evaluation of Inhalable Verapamil-Rifapentine Particles for Tuberculosis Therapy

Recent studies have demonstrated that efflux pumps of Mycobacterium tuberculosis (M. tb) provide a crucial mechanism in the development of drug resistant to antimycobacterial drugs. Drugs that inhibit these efflux pumps, such as verapamil, have shown the potential in enhancing the treatment success. We therefore hypothesized that the combined inhaled administration of verapamil and a first-line rifamycin antibiotic will further improve the treatment efficacy. An inhalable dry powder consisting of amorphous verapamil and crystalline rifapentine with l-leucine as an excipient was produced by spray drying. The in vitro aerosol characteristic of the powder, its microbiological activity and stability were assessed. When the powder was dispersed by an Osmohaler, the total fine particle fraction (FPFtotal, wt % of particles in aerosol <5 μm) of verapamil and rifapentine was 77.4 ± 1.1% and 71.5 ± 2.0%, respectively. The combination drug formulation showed a minimum inhibitory concentration (MIC90) similar to that of rifapentine alone when tested against both M. tb H37Ra and M. tb H37Rv strains. Importantly, the combination resulted in increased killing of M. tb H37Ra within the infected macrophage cells compared to either verapamil or rifapentine alone. In assessing cellular toxicity, the combination exhibited an acceptable half maximal inhibitory concentration (IC50) values (62.5 μg/mL) on both human monocytic (THP-1) and lung alveolar basal epithelial (A549) cell lines. Finally, the powder was stable after 3 months storage in 0% relative humidity at 20 ± 3 °C.

Highly Flexible Platform for Tuning Surface Properties of Silica Nanoparticles and Monitoring Their Biological Interaction.

The following work presents a simple, reliable and scalable seeding-growth methodology to prepare silica nanoparticles (SiO2 NPs) (20, 30, 50 and 80 nm) directly in aqueous phase, both as plain- as well as fluorescent-labeled silica. The amount of fluorescent label per particle remained constant regardless of size, which facilitates measurements in terms of number-based concentrations. SiO2 NPs in dispersion were functionalized with an epoxysilane, thus providing a flexible platform for the covalent linkage of wide variety of molecules under mild experimental conditions. This approach was validated with ethylenediamine, two different amino acids and three akylamines to generate a variety of surface modifications. Accurate characterization of particle size, size distributions, morphology and surface chemistry is provided, both for as-synthesized particles and after incubation in cell culture medium. The impact of physicochemical properties of SiO2 NPs was investigated with human alveolar basal epithelial cells (A549) such as the effect in cytotoxicity, cell internalization and membrane interaction.

MicroRNAs (miRNAs) are small non-coding molecules which silence gene expression of target gene (s) at posttranscriptional level. They are key regulators of cell cycle, apoptosis, anti-cancer drug responsiveness and metastasis. Identification of the differential expression level of miR-15a/16, miR-21, miR-34a, miR-126, miR-128 and miR-210 in A549 cell line versus normal tissues and their correlation with selected corresponding target genes. A549 cell line was cultured in F-12K medium and miRNA was extracted from normal tissues (2-3 cm adjacent to tumor tissue) and A549 cell line. cDNA was synthesized with specific stem-loop primers for each miRNA, while OligodT primer was used for target genes cDNA synthesis. Real-time quantitative polymerase chain reaction. (RT-qPCR) was used to analyze the expression pattern of miRNAs and target genes in A549 and normal non-small cell lung carcinoma. (NSCLC) tissues. miR-15a/16, miR-34a, miR-126 and miR-128 were down-regulated significantly. (>2-fold change), while miR-21 and miR.210 were up-regulated in A549. Bcl-2 as miR-34a target gene was down-regulated while Hif-1α and Akt-3 were up-regulated that might be miR-210 and miR-34a target genes, respectively. The significant differential expression level of these miRNAs made them as candidate biomarkers in NSCLC tumor tissues of patients. Perhaps Bcl-2 down-regulation and Akt-3 up-regulation can be linked with survival signals in A549 cell line. We can conclude that Bcl-2 and Akt-3 might be therapeutic targets to inhibit cell proliferation in NSCLC.

Synthesis, Molecular Modeling and Biological Evaluation of 4-Alkoxyquinazoline Derivatives as Novel Inhibitors of VEGFR2

A series of novel quinazoline derivatives have been designed and synthesized, and their inhibitory activities have also been tested against A549 (carcinomic human alveolar basal epithelial cell), MCF-7 (breast cancer) and HeLa (cervical cancer cell). Of these compounds, compound 4t showed the most potent inhibitory activity (IC50=0.22 µg/mL for HeLa, IC50=0.15 µg/mL for A549 and IC50=0.24 µg/mL for MCF-7). Docking simulation had been performed to position compound 4t into the vascular endothelial growth factor receptor (VEGFR) active site to determine the probable binding model. These results suggested that compound 4t with potent inhibitory activity in tumor growth inhibition may be a potential anticancer agent.
