Influence of thermal degradation on the biological activity of dursban in controlling of aphids ( Myzus persicae ) on cucumber (Cucumis sativus L. )

A field experiment was conducted at AL-Ramadi / AL-Anbar province in 2005 to investigate the effect of thermal degradation of dursban in controlling of aphids(Myzus persicae) on cucumber .The insecticide was exposed to six temperatures levels in the laboratory (0 , 5 ,10 , 20 , 40 and 60 0C) for five exposal periods (1 , 2 , 4 , 6 and 8 h) In infestation % of aphids and productivity were estimated. Results showed that dursban activity was decreased at (0 0C)with increasing exposing temperatures whereas infestation % was (25 %) at (60 0C) , up to (9 %) at (0 0C) lead to decrease productivity of plant with increasing temperatures .The higher average obtained under (5 0C) was (3352 kg/D) , while it decreased at (60 0C) of (2819 kg/D).

Contamination of Beef and Sheep with Salmonella Germ in Anbar Governorate

This study was conducted to determine contamination of meat (cow, sheep) by salmonella in AL-anbar province to however isolation of sarnonella from meat overed in some shopes of meat and to know the Species of salmonella finally their sensitivities to some antibiotics. Atolal oflSO samples of meat (cow , sheep) were randomly collected during the period from June 2002 to February 2003. The results of study showed that the total number of isolates for meat is 11 isolated which represent 6,1 %, species of .£_ typhimurinm, S,_ anaturn, S, arizona. The results of isolates showed high percentage in July then June, August, September, then October, December, there is no isolation in November, January. The results of this study revealed that species of salmonella were resistant with a high percentage 85% to ciprofloxacin and lesser that 50% to tetracycline while susceptibility 90% to cephalexin and lesser that 50% to streptomycin.

GROWTH CHARACTERS AND YIELD FOR MUNGBEAN AS EFFECTED BY SOWING DATES

An experiment was performed during summer season of 2000 in the Suburb of AL-Tash near Ramadi, in AL-Anbar province. The study was about three genotypes of Mung bean, they are: VC6089A-10, VC6173B-1319, VC6144B-1224, in addition to the local genotype With five planting dates they are (1st June, 15th June, 1st July, 15th July and 1st Aug.), with factorial experiment in Randomized Complete Block Design. Below are the important results, which are gained: - 1.The local genotype surpassed the other with the height of the plant (46.7 cm), number of the branches/plant (16.9 branches), biological yield (3274 kg/ha) and seeds yield (1018 Kg/ha). While takes up a long time from planting to give flowers and ripen (50.6 and 89.2) days respectively) compared with the other genotypes so the local genotype is regarded of late ripening, which give the highest yield of seed 1212 kg/ ha when planted in 1st June. 2.The plants which are planted at 15th July surpassed the others in number of branches/plant (15.9 branches) and yield of seeds 1005 (kg/ha), while the plants which are planted at 1st June surpassed others in biological yield (2175 kg/ha). 3.The genotype VC6173 B-1319 takes up the lowest time from planting to give flowers and ripen (37 and 72.4) days respectively.
