The New Apprenticeship-based Employment and Internship Base for Intelligent Manufacturing Enterprises

This paper focuses on the new apprenticeship - based employment and internship base for intelligent manufacturing enterprises jointly established by YX Semiconductor (Ningbo) Co., Ltd. and Zhejiang Dongfang Vocational and Technical College. Against the backdrop of the national policy of emphasizing the training of skilled talents, and combining the development needs of enterprises and the advantages of school educational resources, the construction of the base aims to achieve the linkage between employment and training, and the effective connection between supply and demand. The expected goals are elaborated, including the co - construction of training bases, the implementation of apprentice training, the development of courses and the cultivation of order - based classes. The construction content includes the establishment of training plans and curriculum systems, and the construction of training bases. The operation mechanism and guarantee measures are analyzed, highlighting the dual - principal - body role of the school and the enterprise in education and the multi - faceted guarantee function. Fine roots of Scots pine and European beech respond differently to changes in nutrient availability in a mixed forest: results from a 4-year experiment

Abstract A nutrient availability experiment was carried out for four years in a mature mixed stand of Pinus sylvestris and Fagus sylvatica in the South-western Pyrenees mountains. Initial homogeneous pine regeneration (~58 years ago) was followed by uneven beech regeneration (~45 years ago), leading to the current successional stage in which areas resembling pine monospecific stands are at close distances and under comparable environmental conditions to mixed pine−beech areas. Soil and fine root samples were collected beside trees under three soil nutrient availability treatments: control, litter exclusion, and nitrogen-phosphorus-potassium (NPK) fertilization. Soil samples were collected twice a year (in May and October from 2017 to 2020), and fine root samples were collected twice (in May 2018 and May 2020). Soil fertilization had a bigger impact than litter exclusion on soil chemical parameters, leading to lower pH and NH4+ values. Also, increases in soil total nitrogen, soil available phosphorus, and microbial phosphorus were found after fertilization. Scots pine showed overall lower fine root biomass, specific root length, and root tissue density than beech, presenting also very little response to treatments. On the other hand, beech showed higher biomass and specific root length, but, when soil fertility was enhanced, lower root tissue density was recorded. A negative beech effect over pine fine root biomass was observed, as pine root presence decreased when growing near beech trees in mixed areas. Beech trees not only demonstrated an elevated capability to compete for soil resources but also showed greater root plasticity than pine, enhancing beech potential to take advantage of new soil resources. Our results do not support a complementary niche partitioning but rather a competitive interaction in which European beech has an edge on colonizing the soil volume in the detriment of Scots pine.

Health promotion programs for the development of daily living skills in individuals with neurodevelopmental disorders

The aim of this research is to highlight the health and wellness promotion programs that address the daily lives of people with special educational needs. Health promotion is an approach used to improve the health and quality of life of every person. For many years now, a lot of countries globally have taken advantage of economic and social resources to provide health promoting services in various contexts such as school and community-based facilities. In this review, these frameworks are mentioned, by giving emphasis to health promotion in the community and the enhancement of independent living skills. For people with disabilities, health promotion and the independent living movement has started its activity in recent years, which was a reason chosen to focus on these people, as the literature is limited but the needs in this field vary. The aim of the project is to explore the needs of young people and adults with neurodevelopmental disorders and following a holistic approach, to propose solutions with the various health promotion programs, which may enhance life skills and promote the health, independence and quality of life of people with disabilities.

Drought Assessment in Kalaburgi District, North-eastern Dry Zone of Karnataka, India by Using Remote Sensing and Google Earth Engine

Drought is a significant natural disaster exacerbated by global warming, leading to severe environmental, economic and societal impacts. As one of the most complex phenomena, drought requires advanced methods for effective monitoring and assessment. Remote sensing indices have proven effective in analyzing drought's geographical and temporal distribution. In this study, the semi-arid nature of the North-Eastern Dry Zone of Karnataka, characterized by low rainfall and high temperature, was examined for its vulnerability to drought. The Google Earth Engine (GEE) platform was utilized, which provides cloud-based access to advanced computational resources for processing multi-temporal satellite data. This approach minimizes the need for extensive data downloads and complex software operations, enabling efficient drought monitoring. In this study, GEE was applied to create and execute customized scripts for drought assessment, thereby accelerating the procedure and minimizing the need for extensive data downloads and complex software operations. The study focused on the North Eastern Dry Zone of Karnataka, particularly Kalaburgi district, employing the Normalized Difference Vegetation Index (NDVI) and Vegetation Condition Index (VCI) derived from MODIS data. The analysis revealed severe drought conditions, particularly in 2001, with NDVI values as low as 0.07 at Afzalpur station and 0.06 at Chitapur station, indicating significant vegetation stress. The VCI analysis further supported these findings, with values as low as 0.05 at Afzalpur station and 0.03 at Chitapur station, highlighting the drought's intensity. This integrated approach provides a reliable evaluation of agricultural drought, essential for enhancing drought management and mitigation strategies in the region.

This review aimed to explore the impact of extrusion on Andean grains, such as quinoa, kañiwa, and kiwicha, highlighting their macromolecular transformations, technological innovations, and contributions to food security. These grains, which are rich in starch, high-quality proteins, and antioxidant compounds, are versatile raw materials for extrusion, a continuous and efficient process that combines high temperatures and pressures to transform structural and chemical components. Extrusion improves the digestibility of proteins and starches, encourages the formation of amylose-lipid complexes, and increases the solubility of dietary fiber. However, it can degrade heat-sensitive nutrients, such as certain amino acids. The role of extrusion in food innovation is highlighted, especially in the creation of healthy and functional products such as snacks, gluten-free pastas, and meat analogs. Some innovations in the extrusion process and future trends, such as the use of artificial intelligence to optimize formulations and customize products, have been presented. The importance of Andean grains in the fight against food insecurity has been emphasized. These grains can be transformed into accessible, long-lasting, and nutritious foods, diversifying the diet and taking advantage of local resources. This review aims to serve as a valuable guide for researchers, food developers, and policymakers in their pursuit of creating more accessible, nutritious, and sustainable food options to meet escalating global demands for food security and enhanced nutrition.

Research on Measuring the Development Level of Digital Economy in Five Provinces in Northwest China

The digital economy is a crucial factor in enhancing the quality of regional economic development. Conducting measurements and evaluations of the development level of the digital economy in the five northwestern provinces of China holds significant practical importance. Based on provincial panel data from 2012 to 2022 for these five provinces, this paper establishes a comprehensive evaluation index system encompassing digital infrastructure, digital innovation, digital application, and digital industry. An objective and comprehensive measurement method, namely the entropy value method, is employed for the assessment. The research team found that the digital economy in the five northwestern provinces is continually improving, yet there exists a significant development gap among them. Therefore, the five northwestern provinces should strengthen the formulation and implementation of supportive policy systems, ensure a favorable environment for digital economic development, enhance inter-provincial communication, promote integrated and complementary development of the digital economy, accelerate the exploitation of resource advantages, and address the shortcomings in digital economic development.

Mechanism of solid electrolyte interphase film formation using ethylene carbonate-based local high concentration electrolyte in sodium-ion batteries.

Sodium-ion batteries (SIBs) have the advantages of abundant resources and low cost, making them potential candidates for the next-generation large-scale energy storage technology. However, the capacity fade during cycling used in sodium-ion batteries is a major challenge. The rational design of the electrolyte is one of the ways to solve these problems. In this work, 1,1,2,2-tetrafluoroethyl-2,2,3,3-tetrafluoropropyl ether (HFE) is introduced into a sodium hexafluorophosphate (NaPF6)/ethylene carbonate (EC) electrolyte to design a locally high concentration electrolyte (LHCE), which helps stabilize the solid electrolyte interphase (SEI) in sodium-ion batteries (SIBs). By modulating the solvation structure of the electrolyte, a NaF-rich SEI is formed on the surfaces of electrodes. With sodium iron phosphate (NFPO) as the cathode, the cell maintained a capacity retention rate of 91.5 % after 300 cycles at 0.5C. In addition, a sodium nickel iron manganese oxide (NFMO)||Hard carbon (HC) pouch cell achieves a capacity retention of 84.2 % after 500 cycles at 1C. This study provides a new perspective for the understanding and design of locally high concentration electrolytes for sodium-ion batteries.

Comparison between the Serological and Molecular Methods for the Detection of Helicobacter pylori

Background: Helicobacter pylori (H. pylori) infection is a worldwide health issue associated with chronic gastritis, stomach ulcers, and neoplasms. Management requires an accurate diagnosis, and the currently available technologies can be divided into molecular and serological approaches. Every approach has advantages and disadvantages, highlighting the importance of comparing. Objectives: This study aimed to evaluate the diagnostic efficiency, reliability, and usefulness of serological and molecular methods for detecting H. pylori infection. Methods: In 2023, a cross-sectional study was performed in Wasit Province, Iraq. Five hundred forty-one volunteers aged 15 to 65 years showing dyspeptic symptoms submitted blood samples for analysis. Serological testing utilized ELISA to identify IgG and IgM antibodies, whereas PCR was performed for the molecular detection of H. pylori DNA. Data were analyzed to assess sensitivity, specificity, and demographic correlations. The prevalence of seasonal swings was also evaluated. Results: The frequency of H. pylori was nearly the same across males (270) and females (271). The most considerable prevalence was observed in the 26–35 age group, with seasonal peaks during the summer, especially in July. PCR had superior sensitivity and specificity relative to serology, although it required advanced resources. Serological tests offered significant epidemiological findings, although they could not differentiate between active and past infectious diseases. Conclusion: Serological tests are useful for epidemiological investigations, but molecular methods are more accurate. A combined diagnostic strategy improves clinical and public health measures, especially in resource-limited regions. Seasonal and demographic changes require specific measures.

The Value of Professionalism: Implication for Value for Money in Projects Implemented by Force Account Procurement Method in Tanzania

This study aimed to describe the implication of professionalism on Value for Money (VFM) in the construction projects of higher learning institutions implemented by force account procurement method in Tanzania. Positivism philosophy was employed through collection of quantifiable facts from the force account team members of the selected higher learning institutions in Tanzania. Census approach was used to approach 64 members. The data collected was analyzed using ordinal logistic regression at a confidence interval of 95%. The null hypotheses were rejected implying that knowledge, experience and integrity are the important parameters of professionalism in implementation of force account projects. Consequently, acknowledgement of professionalism in force account projects realizes VFM in construction projects. Practically this study shows how knowledge, experience and integrity of force account team members helps to realize VFM in force account projects in the context of Tanzania. Correspondingly this study has multidisciplinary contribution involving a blend of management, procurement, and project management. Theoretically, the study enlightens professionalism as a resource advantage as stipulated by ResourcesBased View Theory. Also, the study contributes to responsible management goal and that of quality education for all as encouraged by SDGs. This study limited in disclosing the link between professionalism and VFM. Contemporarily, since environmental issue is a global agenda, it is imperative to include it in this study. Also, Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) champion the application of Corporate Social Responsibility. Generally, future studies should focus on the application of CSR in force account projects.

Then, the beneficial roles of polysaccharide hydrocolloids in meat products are comprehensively summarized and highlighted, including retarding lipid and protein oxidation, enhancing nutritional properties, improving texture and color quality, providing antibacterial activity, monitoring freshness, acting as a cryoprotectant, improving printability, and ensuring security. Finally, the challenges and opportunities of polysaccharide hydrocolloids in meat products are also introduced.

How does environmental regulation promote firm performance? Evidence from Chinese environmentally friendly firms

This study focuses on the impact of environmental regulations on the financial performance of environmentally friendly firms and the mechanisms involved. Environmentally friendly firms are increasingly profitable, as they reduce emissions and promote sustainable practices. Stricter regulations can enhance their competitiveness and drive demand in the environmental protection sector. However, the literature has overlooked the unique advantages that green-oriented firms possess in response to environmental regulations. Few studies have explored how environmental regulations affect the performance of environmentally friendly firms, and the mechanisms involved are not well understood. This study reveals four key findings. First, environmental regulations have a positive influence on corporate financial performance. Second, innovation is the key mechanism that significantly enhances this effect. Third, heterogeneity research indicates that the performance of state-owned enterprises is superior to that of private enterprises, indicating that the innovativeness of non-SOEs has failed to surpass the resource advantages of SOEs. Fourth, this positive effect of environmental regulation on financial performance is more significant for environmentally friendly enterprises in economically developed regions or small and medium-sized environmentally friendly enterprises.

Traditional Chinese medicine trade among RCEP countries: structural characteristics and determinants.

With the increasing global focus on health and the growing popularity of natural therapies, Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM) products, including extracts, crude drugs, and herbal preparations, are widely utilized as both primary and complementary medicines worldwide. The Regional Comprehensive Economic Partnership (RCEP), spanning 15 countries across East Asia, Southeast Asia, and Oceania, offers a vast market for TCM. However, limited research has been conducted on the complex trade relations among RCEP members. The structural features and nodes attributes are analyzed using Social Network Analysis (SNA). Influencing factors are studied through the Quadratic Assignment Procedure (QAP) model. We also compiled a list of medicinal plants among RCEP member countries and the main TCM export products. The scale of TCM trade among RCEP members has fluctuated over time, with a temporary spike during the COVID-19 pandemic, followed by a gradual normalization. The trade network does not exhibit small-world properties, indicating a relatively balanced trade relationship. Due to its resource advantages, China occupies a central role acting as a dominant producer and leading exporter. Vietnam's export performance has been excellent in recent years, with the highest annual growth rate. Emerging markets, such as Myanmar, warrant closer attention. Economic size and population significantly positively affect trade value, while geographic distance and land adjacency have no significant impact. Trade activity is positively influenced by cultural and linguistic similarities, and countries with higher levels of economic freedom tend to engage in more trade. Tonifying TCM products with antioxidant and immune-boosting properties are more widely recognized in international markets. RCEP has established an excellent trade platform for the export of TCM. The factors influencing TCM trade are predominantly long-term and structural, rather than being driven by the occurrence of any single, isolated event. Member states should strengthen collaboration in standardization, technology coordination, and knowledge sharing to establish a mutually beneficial trade ecosystem for TCM.

Rapid determination of chemical losses in a microplate bioassay using fluorescence spectroscopy.

Current methods for measuring chemical losses in microplates require extensive sample preparation and highly sensitive instruments. We propose the use of fluorescence spectroscopy to measure chemical losses in high-throughput bioassays as a low resource alternative to the existing methods. A fluorescent plate reader was used to develop methods for quantifying the aqueous concentrations of two chemicals, 2-hydroxynaphthalene and acridine, in microwells of a 96-well microplate. A high-throughput, 5 day embryonic zebrafish bioassay was used as the model bioassay for method development. Chemical losses were attributed to a combination of photodegradation, sorption, and uptake by the zebrafish embryos, kinetics of which were derived from a pseudo-first order model. Chemical uptake amount was calculated to be approximately 50% and 21% of the total chemical amount added for 2-hydroxynaphthalene and acridine, respectively. Unexpected cranial deformities were observed in the embryonic zebrafish, suggesting further investigation of potential additive toxicity of the ultraviolet radiation exposure from fluorescence measurements and chemical exposure is needed. Nonetheless, this novel method provides a rapid, low resource approach to measuring chemical losses in microplates that can be extended to a variety of autofluorescent chemicals and microplate-based bioassays.

Exploring Jordanian university lecturers’ TPACK knowledge: Integrating ICT for teaching English pronunciation

This study investigates the technological knowledge (TK) of university lecturers in Jordan concerning the integration of information and communications technology (ICT) tools in teaching English pronunciation. Employing a mixed-methods approach, data were collected through questionnaires and semi-structured interviews to evaluate lecturers’ understanding and use of ICT for pronunciation instruction. The findings indicate moderate competence in technology integration, with nearly half of the participants feeling confident in using ICT for pronunciation teaching. However, a significant percentage reported insufficient knowledge, especially in selecting effective tools. Analysis revealed no statistically significant differences in TK based on gender or teaching experience, suggesting these factors do not influence technological competence. Challenges included limited access to specialized pronunciation software and a reliance on basic tools like PowerPoint and interactive whiteboards. Thematic analysis of interview data highlighted obstacles such as a lack of ICT training, unfamiliarity with pronunciation-specific tools, and difficulties in evaluating tool effectiveness. Many lecturers expressed a need for advanced resources and training, while others relied on peer support to address gaps. This study emphasizes the necessity for enhanced resources and targeted training initiatives to improve ICT integration in pronunciation teaching. Future research should explore strategies to strengthen lecturers’ TK, particularly regarding ICT’s role in higher education contexts.

MSME need to retain and improve their competitive advantage through cost leadership strategy. To achieve the competitiveness, MSME have to pay attention to their resource advantage. In terms of cost leadership, MSMEs must also assess the quality and superiority of their available resources. Resource superiority is a significant concern when it comes to competition based on low prices. This study aims to investigate the tactics employed by micro enterprises in addressing sudden increases in the costs of production inputs in order to preserve their competitive edge. The study utilised a sample of organisations who successfully maintained company continuity following instances of price surge since 2022. There were a total of 30 businesses that took part in this research. The chosen methodology is a qualitative approach that involves conducting content analysis on the interview results. Typically, corporations choose raising the prices of their products as the input is rising. MSME is prefer to raise the price while retaining the quality rather than lower the quality to keep the price in check.

CHALLENGES AND OPPORTUNITIES IN TRAINING LAWYERS FOR UKRAINE'S EUROPEAN FUTURE

As Ukraine progresses toward European Union (EU) integration, the transformation of its legal education system has become a pivotal aspect of its alignment with EU standards. The training of legal professionals capable of navigating both Ukrainian and EU legal systems is essential to the implementation of directives, fostering cross-border cooperation, and maintaining the rule of law. However, this process faces challenges including the legacy of Ukraine's post-Soviet legal education, resource constraints, and the need for rapid modernization. By adopting international best practices, fostering partnerships, and integrating modern technologies, Ukraine has the opportunity to create a legal education framework that meets EU demands and empowers its lawyers to thrive in global contexts. This article aims to analyze the challenges and opportunities in training lawyers for Ukraine’s European future. It seeks to compare Ukraine’s legal education practices with those in EU countries, identify critical gaps, and propose actionable reforms to align Ukraine’s legal training systems with EU standards. A comparative analysis methodology is employed, drawing insights from literature, policy documents, and case studies of EU member states and transitioning nations. The study systematically examines disparities in curriculum content, teaching methods, practical skill development, faculty expertise, resource access, ethical training, and employment market alignment. Both qualitative and quantitative data inform the recommendations for reform. The analysis reveals significant disparities between Ukraine and EU countries in legal education systems. Key findings include Ukraine’s reliance on outdated curricula, limited practical training opportunities, inadequate faculty development, and fragmented ethical training. Conversely, EU countries emphasize dynamic, interdisciplinary curricula, robust practical skill development, and integrated ethical considerations, supported by advanced resources and technology. Despite these challenges, Ukraine's EU integration provides a unique opportunity to modernize its legal education system through international collaboration, leveraging technology, and implementing market-aligned reforms. Future studies should explore the long-term impact of implemented reforms on Ukraine’s legal system and investigate strategies for sustaining educational alignment with rapidly evolving EU standards.

Ecotourism proposal for the Las Ventanas property of the Mineral del Chico National Park in Hidalgo, Mexico

Alternative ecotourism contributes to the care and preservation of a nation's natural and cultural heritage and constitutes a response to the growing and constant environmental degradation of many sites and their attractions. The objective of this proposal is to elaborate an ecotourism project as a means to take advantage of the available unused resources, according to the geographical and productive characteristics of the site, based on the principles of sustainability, as an economic alternative to the owners of the site for the generation of income and improvement of their quality of life. The proposal presents a methodology that can be reproduced for the design and implementation of an ecotourism plan and is an alternative for the diversification of activities in the rural sector. The economic-financial evaluation of projects determines the main indicators of Net Present Value, Internal Rate of Return, Benefit-Cost Ratio and Payback Period of the investment. The results indicate that the ecotourism model is economically and financially acceptable for the main indicators calculated at a discount rate of 15% over a 5-year investment recovery period.

Frequency and Causes of Dental Complaints in the Yazd Medical Council Organization between 2017 and 2022

Introduction: Currently, even with the extensive and advanced resources available in dentistry, patient dissatisfaction and complaints have increasingly become more prevalent. To acquire accurate and practical data for enhancing dental services’ quality and reducing the expenses linked to complaints, research must be performed to explore dental grievances. This research sought to identify the rate and reasons behind complaints made against dentists to the healthcare system from 2017 to 2022. Methods: This cross-sectional research entailed gathering existing data and examining complaint records from dentists at the Yazd Medical Council Organization. The information was gathered through observation and by filling out applicable checklists. Subsequently, thedata underwent analysis through SPSS version 16, utilizing with a chi-square test and Spearman correlation. The threshold for statistical significance was established at p≤ 0.05. Results: According to the results obtained, the majority of complaints were directed towards general dentists, especially males. Over fifty percent of the individuals who filed complaints were female. The most frequent types of dental issues were associated with surgery, endodontic, and prosthetic care. In 52.9 percent of the cases, dentists were deemed guilty, primarily due to complaints related to malpractice. Conclusion: Dental practitioners must increase their knowledge regarding case selection and dental management to improve their practice.
