The 90's witnessed the adoption of ERP (Enterprise Resource Planning) systems by large corporations, which are using these systems to provide the technological infrastructure they need to conduct their businesses with advantages over custom systems internally developed. This paper presents findings and recommendations resulting from an empirical research conducted by a multiple-case study in eight Brazilian companies. Among the conclusions, there is an analysis of the impacts of go-live option in the stabilization phase, and a description of the relationship between ERP systems' integration and their benefits and implementation difficulties.
