Development of Access to Sabodam Pabelan Tourism Village

Indonesia is rich in the potential for nature-based tourism such as tourist villages. Pabelan Village is a village in Magelang Regency, Central Java that has the potential for a nature-based Sabodam River tourist area. In an effort to help develop tourism in the region, infrastructure development in the form of road access is needed to increase accessibility and tourism attraction. The infrastructure development process starts from a group discussion forum, location survey, design, and development realization. From this process, outputs are produced in the form of development plans consisting of excavation volumes and soil piles. This road access is expected to make it easier for tourists when they want to visit Sabodam Pabelan tourism.

Being Human and “Hanging Out”: Mutuality, Trust, and “Voice” in Youth Participatory Research

Reflexively drawing on my experiences as a young researcher conducting collaborative research with young people from migrant backgrounds in rural Australia, this paper brings a critical lens to participatory or co-designed research processes with youth. Drawing on learnings from three relationships with young people involved, I explore some of the ethical complexities of participatory processes with young people, the nature of voice and listening, trust and reciprocity, and knowledge co-production. I argue that paradigms of youth participation and co-design should involve more than sharing projects. They should also involve sharing processes of co-imagining and co-creating accessible, ethical, enjoyable, and realistic forms of participation with young people—which vary across communities, places, and over time. Further, I explore what might be possible, in these processes, if we move beyond “word-centric” approaches to knowledge, “voice”, and connection, and learn to listen with our whole selves. What new insights might emerge when we recognise participatory processes and voice itself as co-created, co-creative, and mutually transformative?

Pneumoperitônio por Punção Guiada por Ultrassonografia para Laparoscopia. Estudo Piloto de Nova Técnica em Modelo Animal

ABSTRACT Introduction: All forms of access to the peritoneal cavity in laparoscopy could damage intra-abdominal structures. Currently, ultrasound (USG) is being used in several procedures to guide needles: breast biopsy, central venous access puncture, anesthetic nerve blocks, etc. Therefore, this research seeks to verify the feasibility and viability of performing pneumoperitoneum using USG-guided puncture in a pilot study using a porcine model. Methods: The cross-sectional study was carried out with a sample of 10 anesthetized sows in the IRCAD-América Latina Barretos Unit laboratory. The experiment consisted of an abdominal puncture guided by USG with a linear transducer to create the pneumoperitoneum. After the puncture, the drop test was performed, and CO2 was insufflated into the cavity. Subsequently, a 10mm trocar was introduced to insert the optic. The parameters from the USG were the thickness of the abdominal wall layers, intraperitoneal needle measurement, drop test, and the presence of complications. Results: The average measurement of the layers was 0.45 centimeters of subcutaneous tissue, 0.67 centimeters of muscle, and 0.15 centimeters of peritoneum. The mean measurement of the intraperitoneal needle was 1.17cm. Furthermore, the drop test was positive in 100% of cases, and there was no bleeding or lesions on any attempt. Conclusion: Ultrasound-guided pneumoperitoneum is feasible and safe in the porcine model. The subcutaneous, muscular, and peritoneum layers are identifiable and measurable in this model. Subsequent studies are necessary to verify the importance of this new procedure.

The Getty Research Portal: a decade of progress and developments for the future

At its inception in 2012, the Getty Research Portal shattered barriers that previously made digitized resources for art historical research challenging to locate and use without restriction. The Portal's first 10 years were marked by a period of immense growth, forging connections among collections through institutional partnerships. Flexible metadata requirements for contributing to the Portal allows large and small institutions alike to contribute a diverse range of collections but also present ongoing challenges. Work with partner institutions to identify priorities for metadata creation, cataloguing, and imaging has contributed to collection building on a global scale. Various forms of access to Portal materials have been developed alongside collection development efforts to meet new methods in art historical research. Looking to the future, the goals that were set out when the Portal was initiated continue to be the driving force behind what the Portal provides for an ever-evolving field. Ongoing work on the platform is intended to meet the shifting methodology of art historical research through the Portal's established collaborative model and open the door to new questions, new lines of inquiry, and ultimately new conclusions within art history.

Individual, family, and community factors associated with the use of emergency contraception by Brazilian adolescent students

This study aimed to estimate the proportion of use of emergency contraception at least once in life among Brazilian adolescent students, as well as the association of individual, family, and community factors with use. A cross-sectional study was carried out, including 38,779 Brazilian adolescent students, aged 13 to 17 years, participating in the Brazilian National Survey of School Health (PeNSE) in 2019, who declared sexual initiation. The proportion of emergency contraception use at least once in life and the form of access to the method were estimated. Proportion ratios were estimated to assess the factors associated with the use of emergency contraception at some point in life. The proportion of adolescents who used emergency contraception, or who reported the use by their partners, at some point in their lives was 37.9%. Regarding the access to the emergency contraception, commercial pharmacies were the main source of purchase. Adolescents aged 16 and 17 years, those who sought health services in the last year, those living in the Central-West and Southeast regions, and those who had a history of sexual violence used emergency contraception or reported their partners using them at least once in their lives. Living in the South region of Brazil was associated with a lower proportion of adolescents who used emergency contraception or who reported the use by their partners at least once in their lives. The association with individual, family, and community factors related to the use of emergency contraception may reflect the non-use or failures in the use of other contraceptive methods, revealing gaps in public policies related to the sexual and reproductive health of adolescents in Brazil.

Parameters of subjective well-being in conditions of psychosocial adaptation of students with visual impairment

Despite the positive trends in the availability of higher education for students with visual disabilities, there are problems of adaptation of students with visual impairment to the social student environment. Psychological stress resistance, social adaptation, and integration of blind students depend largely on the conditions of their own positive selfassessment development, individual characteristics, including cognitive, psychological, behavioral and social aspects. The article considers theoretical analysis of socio-psychological adaptation and subjective wellbeing of students with visual disabilities. The aim of the study is to analyze the subjective well-being of undergraduate students with visual disabilities within the psychosocial adaptation at the university, using the targeted methods. Twenty-two full-time students with various visual pathology willingly participated in the experiment. The average age of the participants was SD=20,9 ±1,05 years. The study was carried out in accessible forms of perception of information: for example, the blind students perceived information audibly; the font of the techniques presented in Google form was increased for the visually impaired students. The carried out analysis of the existing signs of subjective well-being in students with visual disabilities showed low results of socio-psychological adaptation, which manifested more expressed psycho-emotional instability compared to the comparison group. The students of the experimental group had the most psycho-emotional instability. According to scale of wellbeing, activity, and mood (WAM), the students perception of own health was statistically lower.

Mediastinal masses originate from the structures of the mediastinum or neck organs and can represent primary benign or malignant tumors, as well as metastases. In most cases, they are detected through radiological imaging, such as an X-ray of the enlarged mediastinum. In the differential diagnostic approach, the acronym "the terrible T" (thymoma, teratoma, terrible lymphoma, and thyroid) is useful. A retrosternal goiter with its compressive effect can lead to changes in the voice, difficult speaking, tracheal compression, and potentially superior vena cava syndrome. Additionally, visualization techniques, thyroid hormones, and tumor markers can be helpful in the diagnostic process. We presented a patient who, during a meal, stopped eating, lost consciousness, and experienced asystole. Due to a chest injury sustained during resuscitation, a computerized tomography (CT) scan was performed. The CT scan revealed a nodular formation in the right lobe of the thyroid gland that extends through the upper thoracic aperture behind the sternum, exerting a pronounced compressive effect on the trachea. Based on the examination, it was concluded that the patient has a goiter with retrosternal and mediastinal extension, accompanied by thyrotoxicosis, which was most likely induced by the iodine contrast agent. Thyrostatic therapy was initiated, followed by surgical treatment of the retrosternal goiter. Computed tomography is the most accessible form of imaging for preoperative assessment of goiter position and its extent, while surgery remains the gold standard for treating symptomatic retrosternal goiters.

PoseCoach: A Customizable Analysis and Visualization System for Video-Based Running Coaching.

Videos are an accessible form of media for analyzing sports postures and providing feedback to athletes. Existing sport-specific systems embed bespoke human pose attributes and thus can be hard to scale for new attributes, especially for users without programming experiences. Some systems retain scalability by directly showing the differences between two poses, but they might not clearly visualize the key differences that viewers would like to pursue. Besides, video-based coaching systems often present feedback on the correctness of poses by augmenting videos with visual markers or reference poses. However, previewing and augmenting videos limit the analysis and visualization of human poses due to the fixed viewpoints in videos, which confine the observation of captured human movements and cause ambiguity in the augmented feedback. To address these issues, we study customizable human pose data analysis and visualization in the context of running pose attributes, such as joint angles and step distances. Based on existing literature and a formative study, we have designed and implemented a system, PoseCoach, to provide feedback on running poses for amateurs by comparing the running poses between a novice and an expert. PoseCoach adopts a customizable data analysis model to allow users' controllability in defining pose attributes of their interests through our interface. To avoid the influence of viewpoint differences and provide intuitive feedback, PoseCoach visualizes the pose differences as part-based 3D animations on a human model to imitate the demonstration of a human coach. We conduct a user study to verify our design components and conduct expert interviews to evaluate the usefulness of the system.

TANTANGAN SANTRI DI ERA DIGITAL

The digital era has brought significant transformations in human life. The use of technology in the digital era is increasingly widespread in various sectors such as education, economy, health, agriculture and government. For santri in Indonesia, who are the digital native generation, the challenges of the digital era have a special impact. This research aims to discuss the challenges faced by santri in the digital era and focuses on the abilities that santri must have to be able to compete in the digital era. The study shows that challenges arise in the form of unequal access and use of technology, digital content that is not in accordance with religious norms, customs and decency, interference with worship, and threats to personal security and privacy. To be able to adapt to technological advances in the digital era, santri must have competencies such as digital literacy, creativity, adaptability, visionary and integrity. In addition, choosing the right educational institution and mastering foreign languages are significant factors. With adequate knowledge and skills, santri will be able to face competition in the digital era.

Vascular Access Blood Purification Treatments in Chronic Renal Failure: Impact on Quality of Life

Objective: To observe the effects of blood purification treatment and assess the prognostic impact of different vascular pathways on patients with chronic renal failure (CRF). Methods: A retrospective analysis of clinical data was conducted on 68 CRF cases, categorizing them based on their choice of blood purification vascular access. Group A received an autologous arteriovenous fistula, Group B received an internal jugular vein tunneled polyester sleeve catheter, and Group C received a polytetrafluoroethylene graft vascular fistula. Clinically relevant observation indicators, complication rates, and quality of life scores among the three groups were compared. Results: No significant differences were found between the three groups regarding observed values of clinically relevant indicators and quality of life scores (P > 0.05). When comparing thromboembolism rates Group A had the highest rate, followed by Group C and Group B; for infection rate comparison, Group C had the highest rate, followed by Group B and Group A (P < 0.05). Conclusion: In comparison with the other two vascular access methods, although autologous arteriovenous fistula poses a higher risk of thromboembolism, it exhibits a lower infection rate. Therefore, it is recommended as the preferred vascular access form for blood purification in patients with CRF. If this approach is unavailable, careful consideration should be given. The use of an internal jugular vein with a tunneled polyester sleeve catheter is suggested to better ensure the effectiveness and safety of the patient’s treatment.

Microbiota consisting of various fungi and bacteria have a significant impact on the physiological functions of the host. However, it is unclear which species are essential to this impact and how they affect the host. This study analyzed and isolated microbes from natural food sources of Drosophila larvae, and investigated their functions. Hanseniaspora uvarum is the predominant yeast responsible for larval growth in the earlier stage of fermentation. As fermentation progresses, Acetobacter orientalis emerges as the key bacterium responsible for larval growth, although yeasts and lactic acid bacteria must coexist along with the bacterium to stabilize this host-bacterial association. By providing nutrients to the larvae in an accessible form, the microbiota contributes to the upregulation of various genes that function in larval cell growth and metabolism. Thus, this study elucidates the key microbial species that support animal growth under microbial transition.

Leveraging stylometry analysis to identify unique characteristics of peer support user groups in online mental health forums

Online peer support mental health forums provide an effective and accessible form of support, augmenting scarce clinical and face-to-face assistance. However, to enhance their effectiveness, it is essential to understand the unique characteristics of peer support user groups, and how they participate, contribute and communicate in these forums. This paper proposes and tests a novel approach that leverages stylometry analysis to uncover the unique characteristics of peer support user groups in such forums. Our approach identifies how each group empowers and supports other users, and what distinguishes them from others. The analysis shows that emotion-related words are crucial in identifying and distinguishing user groups based on their writing style. Comparative analysis of emotion expressions across user groups also uncovers the significance of emotional content in these forums in promoting mental well-being. Valued ‘senior contributors’ were more likely than all other groups including trained community guides to use a wide range of both positive and negative emotions in their posts. These findings have significant implications for improving the training of peer-mentors and moderators, scaling forum services, and improving guidelines for emotional expression among peer support users. Our approach presents an objective approach to differentiating the characteristics and communication patterns of valued senior contributors, mentors, and guides, enabling service providers to foster the kinds of communication that supports positive outcomes for distressed users.

ПОКАДРОВАЯ АНИМАЦИЯ В ОБУЧЕНИИ НАЧЕРТАТЕЛЬНОЙ ГЕОМЕТРИИ

The paper presents using of frame-by-frame animation of geometric constructions in the course "Descriptive Geometry" to present educational graphic material in a more accessible and visual form for students.
 Electronic support of descriptive geometry classes used at the Department of Engineering Graphics at Bauman Moscow State Technical University made in the technique of frame-by-frame animation in the format of presentations and electronic text publications is presented.
 The technique of creating frame-by-frame animation is described. Geometric constructions are performed using computer graphics systems, in layers; each layer contains one step of construction. When layers are showed on alternately, a number of graphic files are created, which are inserted in a certain sequence on presentation slides or on the pages of an electronic text publication. During the demonstration, a visualization of the course of geometric constructions is created on the screen.
 Teachers when giving lectures and practical classes use electronic support of classes, made in the format of presentations to demonstrate the course material on the screen in the classroom. The presentations contain graphic material in the technique of frame-by-frame animation and minimal text material; the teacher gives the necessary explanations.
 Electronic support of classes, made in the form of an electronic educational visual aid, is used for independent work of students. Unlike classroom presentations, in an electronic educational visual aid, the animation of geometric constructions is accompanied by a text step-by-step description of the sequence of solving geometric problems.
 The main advantage of using electronic training software made in frame-by-frame animation technology compared to traditional software is the visibility and the ability to consistently, step by step, understanding the course of graphic constructions, with the ability to go back and repeat the sequence at any stage.

Effects of plank exercise on respiratory capacity, physical fitness, and immunocytes in older adults.

Plank is a readily accessible form of exercise that can benefit individuals of various fitness levels. However, its effectiveness in older individuals has not been conclusively established. Specifically, its impact on respiratory function, physical fitness, and immunocytes in them has not been thoroughly verified. The study encompassed participants with an average age of 64.33±1.98 years. All participants were randomly assigned to either the control group (COG) or the plank exercise group (PXG). The plank exercise was conducted 3 days a week for 12 weeks. While the values in the COG deteriorated, the PXG showed significant improvements in several parameters. Forced expiratory volume in one second and peak expiratory flow increased by approximately 27% and 16%, respectively, in the PXG, demonstrating significant differences (P<0.001) between the two groups. Additionally, VO2max, grip strength, and sit-ups increased by about 12%, 18%, and 42% in the PXG. Notably, innate immunocytes, such as NK cells, increased by approximately 30% in the PXG. For adaptive immunocytes, including CD3+ T cells, CD4+ T cells, and CD8+ T cells, there were notable increases of around 18%, 19%, and 28%, respectively, in the PXG. These findings underline significant differences (P<0.001) between the two groups. This study provides confirmation that engaging in plank exercise can enhance the function of immunocytes, while also improving respiratory capacity and physical fitness in older adults.

О ризосфере полевых культур и факторах, влияющих на динамику ее микробиоты (обзор)

There is presented a review of literary sources, which disclosed an importance of rhizosphere being a certain biological buffer regulating interrelations between higher plants and soil and inhabiting soil microorganisms. The main factors influencing indicators of activity of rhizosphere microbiota possessing a complex of useful qualities for plants (converting of nutrient into accessible forms, decomposition of organic materials, increase of resistance to abiotic factors, stimulating a growth, antagonism to phytopathogens, etc.) are considered. The violations of interrelations be-tween plants and their associative microorganisms caused by different factors, including the regulating by human ones – such as cultivation technologies, are able to decrease yield potential of agricultural crops including sunflower. The analytical review certifies the prospects to conduct researches allows determining an impact of agrotechnical methods (sowing dates, seed sowing rates, fertilizer, and chemical and biological plant protection) on changes in qualitative and quantitative composition of microbiota in sunflower rhizosphere and to determine their influ-ence on yield and quality of products.

DEVELOPING A RECIPE FOR MEAT BREADS WITH THE ADDITION OF SWEET MUSTARD

Consumption of meat products is constantly growing in Ukraine, as well as around the world. In recent years, the meat industry has seen increased competition between companies to expand the range of products using flavour compositions. Due to rising prices for meat raw materials and energy, meat industry enterprises are in constant economic dependence on a significant increase in the cost of products. Today, the task of forming safety and quality indicators in the production of cooked sausages is an urgent one. Improving the technology of cooked sausages with the addition of vegetable raw materials - mustard seeds enriched with minerals and polyunsaturated fatty acids to improve quality and give the product improved organoleptic properties is relevant in the current environment of shortage of meat raw materials and its constant rise in price. Pork is traditionally the main component of sausage products in Ukraine. It is highly digestible. This meat contains biologically complete proteins and fats in an easily accessible form, as well as B vitamins. In the experimental recipes of meat breads, mustard is used as a filler, which increases the nutritional value and improves the taste of the product. Mustard stimulates the breakdown of fat and improves protein digestion, while activating metabolism. The peculiarity of this flavouring is that in addition to mustard grains, honey, sugar, ground cloves and wine vinegar are added in appropriate proportions, which gives this additive a sweetness with a slight burning sensation. The study proved that it is possible to improve the formulation of meat breads with flavour fillers. This flavour composition improves the functional and technological properties of model minced meat: The moisture content is increased by 2.4%, and the moisture content is increased by 2.1%, which makes the product juicier. It has been shown that the use of crushed mustard grains with varying degrees of hydration in the specified proportions does not worsen the sensory characteristics of the developed meat breads, but, on the contrary, improves their organoleptic characteristics.

AGEING WELL WITH AUTISM

Abstract Autism is characterized by patterns of neurological development that can cause differences in social interactions and sensory processing; restricted and repetitive patterns of behavior; and difficulties in identifying and describing feelings. The highly sociable and unpredictable environments typical of most societies are poorly suited to autistic people*, leading to disadvantage and exclusion. Despite increasing numbers of people aging with autism, little is known about the needs and experiences of middle-aged and older autistic adults. This is important given that autistic people experience higher rates of health and functional difficulties, and express a need for appropriate, accessible forms of support as they age. In this study, we interviewed seventeen autistic adults, aged from 46-72 years, about their views and experiences of aging, and how services could better support them to age well. The transcribed interviews were analyzed using inductive thematic analysis. The findings revealed several potential ways that autism affected people’s ability to age well. This included difficulties in accessing formal and informal supports; interactions between autism and health conditions; and negative attitudes and low understanding about autism encountered within services and society. Recommendations for supporting autistic adults to age well included involving autistic people in the design of services, and introducing specialized advocate/coordinator roles or ‘one-stop-shop’ hubs that could help autistic people navigate services more easily. * Our use of the terms ‘autistic people/adults’ is in-line with evidence-based guidance for writing about autism research, and is preferred by autistic people to ‘person-first’ terms like ‘person with autism’ (https://journals.sagepub.com/pb-assets/cmscontent/AUT/Autism-terminology-guidance-2021-1626860796.pdf)

Urban growth by fragments. Consolidation and land value in peripheral areas resulting from housing policy in Córdoba, Argentina

The study of the consolidation of built-up areas in the periphery of cities is interesting because it is linked to the differential forms of access to land, services, urban facilities, workplaces, and daily mobility for the inhabitants. The research identifies the locations of public housing in Córdoba city and the transformations that were produced in the physical morphology of the surroundings during a decade. Land uses, the level of building consolidation, and the dynamics of land prices in the surrounding areas lead us to reflect on the evolution of social housing areas as urban fragments built on the periphery. The objectives of the study are to recognize the effects of housing policy location in urban development and to discuss the sustainability of the urban-growth model. In the context of the increasing commodification of the city, this development pattern intensifies socio-territorial inequalities derived from the location of low-income families in scattered outlying areas.

City Scale Traffic Monitoring Using WorldView Satellite Imagery and Deep Learning: A Case Study of Barcelona

Accurate traffic data is crucial for a range of different applications such as quantifying vehicle emissions, and transportation planning and management. However, the availability of traffic data is geographically fragmented and is rarely held in an accessible form. Therefore, there is an urgent need for a common approach to developing large urban traffic data sets. Utilising satellite data to estimate traffic data offers a cost-effective and standardized alternative to ground-based traffic monitoring. This study used high-resolution satellite imagery (WorldView-2 and 3) and Deep Learning (DL) to identify vehicles, road by road, in Barcelona (2017–2019). The You Only Look Once (YOLOv3) object detection model was trained and model accuracy was investigated via parameters such as training data set specific anchor boxes, network resolution, image colour band composition and input image size. The best performing vehicle detection model configuration had a precision (proportion of positive detections that were correct) of 0.69 and a recall (proportion of objects in the image correctly identified) of 0.79. We demonstrated that high-resolution satellite imagery and object detection models can be utilised to identify vehicles at a city scale. However, the approach highlights challenges relating to identifying vehicles on narrow roads, in shadow, under vegetation, and obstructed by buildings. This is the first time that DL has been used to identify vehicles at a city scale and demonstrates the possibility of applying these methods to cities globally where data are often unavailable.
