INVESTIGATING TYPES OF MORAL VALUE IN CHILDREN OF HEAVEN MOVIE DIRECTED BY MAJID MAJIDI

The Objective of the research is to find out the types of moral values and to find out the most dominant type of moral value in the Children of Heaven movie by Majid Majidi. The writer use descriptive qualitative method to get the objective of the study. The researchers have collected the data from the script of “Children of Heaven” movie by Majid Majidi. In Conclusion of the researcher founding and result there some types of moral values. The categories found are 6 from Caring for other living thing and environment, 3 from Respect and caring for others, 2 from Commitment to something greater than oneself, and 1 from Self-respect, but with humbleness or respect to others, self-discipline, and acceptance of personal responsibility. Faith & Courage values don’t have any dialogue in this movie, but there is a scene for each both Faith and Courage which represent them. And the most dominant moral value occurred in the Children of Heaven movie by Majid Majidi is Caring for other living thing and environment with 6 data.

Exploring Universal Moral Values in Animation Movie: A Case in Inside Out Movie by Pete Docter

The purpose of this study is to explore the universal moral values as portrayed in Inside Out movie by Pete Docter. This study was conducted using a qualitative method as its approach. The data were collected from the dialogues in the Inside Out movie using content analysis to elicit the universal moral values as portrayed in the movie, Inside Out. The data were analyed using Kinnier, Kernes, and Dautheribes to determine the boundaries of the study.The results of the analysis show that the universal moral values as portrayed in Inside Out movie are devided into four categories, i.e. commitment to something greater than oneself; self-respect but humility, self-discipline, and acceptance of personal responsibility; respect and caring for others; and caring for other living things and the environment.

Residing in communal senior housing: situating the ageing self within debates of the universal welfare state

Abstract Currently, Nordic welfare societies are at a crossroads. Ongoing demographic changes – such as ageing, accompanied by challenges in financing adequate services for all – have highlighted the need to consider the roles of citizens and the state in a novel way. Balancing rights and responsibilities has always been at the core of universalism, even though, traditionally, trust in the welfare state's ability to fulfil its basic function of providing necessary services for all has been strong. However, of late, subtle signs of change have become more visible, and in practice, older people's housing and care provisions have been marked by the state's withdrawal. By employing narrative analysis, this study explores, through the experiences of residents in age-related intermediate housing, how older people make use of, negotiate and embed the arguments being made in societal debates on the rights and responsibilities of ageing citizens. The accounts showcase the ways in which these narrators are able to accommodate the sometimes contradictory elements in their narration, accept the demand for increased responsibility for their later-life arrangements and construct plausible portraits of themselves as morally responsible citizens. These subtle negotiations and the acceptance of personal responsibility indicate a change in their perceptions of and expectations from the citizens and the state. Whilst the findings comprise stories of good outcomes, they also question the legitimacy of the current welfare system's universalism and its ability to guide the way to achieve equally good outcomes for all in the future.

MORAL VALUES AND INTRINSIC ELEMENTS IN CRAZY RICH ASIANS NOVEL

The main of this study was discovering intrinsic elements and moral values in Crazy Rich Asians Novel, besides the theoretical implications of ELT strategy. The qualitative study method was used in this study. The data were obtained from the novel's words, phrases, sentences, and utterances. Data were collected in three ways: documentation, interviews, and book reviews. Data analysis comprise specifying, reducing, itemizing, framing data and making conclusion. The novel's intrinsic elements included theme, characters, plot, setting, and subject matter; moral values in the novel included four aspects: commitment to something greater than oneself, respect for oneself, but with humility, self-control, acceptance of personal responsibility, respect for others and concern for their well-being, concern for other living things as well as the environment. The most dominant moral value was respect for others and concern for their well-being. This study was not previously conducted in other studies because it investigated more recent information about the exploration of moral values and intrinsic elements in Crazy Rich Asians Novel. This study encouraged English educators to use novels as a medium for learning literature in ELT strategy and the result of this study can be used as a resource for English educators and L2 students.

EFEKTIVITAS KONSELING REALITA TERHADAP RESILIENSI DIRI MAHASISWA

Self-resilience is the ability to continue life after adversity or after experiencing heavy stress is not a fortune, but it describes the existence of certain abilities in individuals. Reality counseling is a system that focuses on current behavior. Therapists serve as teachers and models and confront clients in ways that help them cope with reality and meet basic needs without harming themselves or others. At the heart of reality therapy is the acceptance of personal responsibility, which is analogous to mental health. This study aims to determine how reality counseling can improve students' self-resilience at Unipa Surabaya. This research uses a quantitative approach, with the research method of pretest posttest one group design. The data analysis used was statistical test using SPSS 17. The results showed that all indicators had a significant difference level. This significant difference can be seen from the level of resilience achieved by the counselees. This shows that reality counseling is effective in increasing the resilience of students in facing current conditions. Keywords: Reality Counseling, Self Resilience, Quasi Experiment

MORAL VALUES ANALYSIS IN THE FAULT IN OUR STARS NOVEL BY JOHN GREEN

Moral Value is a value that affects individual and social behavior in behaving. The current study aimedto find the categories of moral values that John Green tries to convey in The Fault in Our Stars noveland to interpret its meaning by using the theory of Universal Moral Values by Kinnier et. al with fourmajor moral values. To be able to understand moral values in the story without misinterpretation andthe lessons can be applied in real life. This study used the qualitative method because it focuses ondescribing and interpreting the moral values in descriptive. The primary source of data is taken fromthe novel The Fault in Our Stars in the form of narrations and the secondary data is from previousstudies in the form of statements that comes from the study findings. The results of the current studyshow that the categories of moral values found in the novel are (1) Commitment to something greaterthan oneself, (2) Self-respect, but with humility, self-discipline, and acceptance of personalresponsibility, and (3) Respect and caring for others, while the moral value that is not found is (4)Caring for other living things and environment which indicates that John Green inserted moral valuesin the novel more about the personal lives of the characters and the relationships between them, whichto civilize it, readers, to have the moral as an individual, being good to other people and to believe tosomething greater.

THE CHARACTER AND MORAL VALUES IN THE MOVIE ‘WONDER’ BY STEPHEN CHBOSKY

<p>This research aims to analyze the characters and moral values in the “Wonder” movie by Stephen Chbosky. The method used in this research is descriptive-qualitative which aims to describe the character and moral values in the Wonder” movie. Data obtained, analyzed, and explained based on dialogue data contained in the movie protagonist, antagonist, secondary, extras, round dan flat, and based on moral values: commitment to something greater than oneself, self-respect but with humility, self-discipline, and acceptance of personal responsibility, respect and caring for others, caring for other living things an environment. This shows the moral Value that dominates and wants to be conveyed is the Value of caring for others.</p>

Patients’ expectations for and experiences with primary healthcare services received from a patient centered medical home

ObjectiveExpectations for and experiences with healthcare services are summarized for 1143 patients receiving care in a statewide demonstration of Patient Centered Medical Homes (PCMH). MethodsPatients were recruited from 91 primary care clinics for semi-structured interviews to determine what patients expect, what they plan to do and how they intend to execute their plans in partnership with their healthcare team. ResultsThe majority (78%) of patients defined the patient-team partnership as a collaborative and problem-solving effort. Overall, 68% defined responsibility for own health as a personal responsibility; 55% defined listening to patient’s concerns and answering questions as a responsibility of their healthcare team. Diet and exercise came up most frequently whether as a personal responsibility, issues for receiving additional help from their clinic, or plans for personal change. ConclusionPatients’ preferred a collaborative, problem-solving healthcare team partnership but also had boundaries for what additional services they wanted from this team.Practice Implications: Patients’ expectations for a collaborative partnership, acceptance of personal responsibility and interest in diet and exercise expands opportunities for patient education and teamwork. Clinics’ engagement with broader resources would be needed to address patients’ many and varied challenges to taking care of their health.

Asean Economic Community (AEC) impacts the area of employment become more competitive. Indonesia has to improve human resources through education. University has to create professional workers to compete with other ASEAN country labors. Prodi DIII Public Relations in Universitas Negeri Jakarta have graduated public relations diploma since 2007. They have worked in several communication industries as a public relations officer. We have to know how professional they are according evaluation of their managers. 
 Indicators of professional status include 1. spesialized educational preparation to acquire unique knowledge and skill. 2. A body of theory-based knowledge, developed through research, that provides us principles of appropriate public relations practice. 3. Code of ethic and standards of performance established and enforced by a self governing association of colleagues. 4. Autonomy in practice and acceptance of personal responsibility by practitioners. 5. Recognition by the community of a unique and essential service.
 This research used qualitative perpective and descriptive method. Primery data are obtained by doing depth interview with key informan and informan.
 The results are our alumni do several pr activities in qualification of public relations competence schema from Lembaga Sertifikasi Profesi Public Relations Indonesia. They are in different level spread from junior, middle, expert or managerial according their working period. Evaluation of their managers are good. Our alumni have ability to finish their duties. They have good mental attitude. They never break the rules or cod of conduct. But they still have to practice a lot and guidance.
 The conclusions, the evaluation of alumni of UNJ DIII Public Relations are good. They are professional according their job descriptions but they still have to practice a lot. Transformation of types of religiosity in the context of globalization

The article outlines the transformation of types of religiosity in the conditions of modern Western society. An assessment of the religious situation in contemporary Western society at the end of the 20th century and some examples are given. Particular attention is paid to the crisis of secular regulation of religion in modern society. Paradoxically, the weakening of the regulatory capacity of religious institutions leads to a weakening of the secular state. Religion, displaced into the private sphere, undergoes significant transformations. The active expansion of neoliberal ideology through the leading actors of globalism has significantly changed the nature of the socialization of individuals, their relation to the world and the ability to communicate. As a result of the principles of freedom of conscience and religious pluralism enshrined in both constitutions and in public morals, the individual’s right to choose his religious beliefs is generally accepted, and therefore the human right to form a religious identity proves to be primary in relation to a religious tradition controlled by institutions. If earlier the younger generation accepted the experience of the older generations, partially modifying it, but on the whole following it and finding in it suitable models of behavior, today the main emphasis is given to individual experience, shared with others, and acceptance of personal responsibility. Even adherents of traditional confessions themselves bring to their religious practice elements of eastern religions and esotericism, but discard elements of their own traditions that they consider “out-ofdate” or “do not fit into the way of modern life”. The institutional crisis of the establishment of the truths of faith favors the increase in the number of belief systems of individual communities. In a changing religious situation, the state should seek a new model of interaction with religious organizations and groups. FUTURE PLANNING PECULIARITIES UNDER DIFFERENT CONDITIONS OF UNCERTAINTY TOLERANCE IN ADOLESCENTS

The authors of the article analyze the results of empirical research aimed at defining the specificity of future construction in senior pupils with different levels of uncertainty tolerance. The paper features the following hypothesis: future construction in the youth age in schoolchildren, both tolerant and intolerant to uncertainty, is characterized by differences in the degree of explicitation and detailed elaboration of the future, in the awareness and acceptance of personal responsibility for one's own future, in the distinct manifestation of different modality attitudes concerning one's future. The investigation was carried out with the help of a complex of methods corresponding to the stated goal which included, alongside with quantitative methods, such qualitative methods as drawing metaphor methodology «Life's journey», elements of causometric analysis, graphic method of Cottle's circles. The results of the research may be used in the organization of psychological work with pupils to form an attitude of positive acceptance of one's future, overcoming the fear connected with the future, as well as the development of reflection skills and awareness of individual responsibility for one's own future.

Introduction of Objective Structured Clinical Examination, an assessment method for undergraduate students in a dental school

Objective: Undergraduate education in a dentistry program aims to produce competent practitioners equipped with appropriate knowledge, behavior, attitudes and skills necessary to blend into independent dental practice. Assessment is crucial in the learning process of the students, and assessment drives learning is universally accepted. A number of traditional assessment methods are in common use; lately, Objective Structured Clinical Examination (OSCE) has been suggested to assess the clinical competencies and skills in health sciences. Argyris recommended developing an implementation strategy of advocacy and inquiry to encourage the acceptance of personal responsibility to overcome resistance (to changes being introduced into the existing assessment system). The purpose of this study was to investigate the effectiveness of implementation strategy by measuring the attitudes of both staff and students towards OSCE in a dental school. Methods: Following sequential steps of providing information, advocacy, participation to minimize resistance towards introduction of OSCE in the course of oral medicine, fourteen staff members and thirty six students participated in pilot/mini OSCE which included one rest and five test stations. Later, a more definitive final OSCE was designed with 10 test plus one rest station. After completion of both pilot/mini and final OSCE, a questionnaire adopted from a previously conducted study was answered by the staff and students. Results: The staff scores were significantly higher following the final OSCE for all the questions except “increase use”. In the student group, “increase use” and “difficulty/ease” improved from pilot to final OSCE, but the difference was statistically insignificant. Comparison between the groups revealed staff were significantly more enthusiastic, believed the use of OSCE to be increased and felt the test was relevant. Conclusion: Involvement, participation and joint control of the staff in designing and developing the OSCE stations and its implementation led to a successful implementation of the new assessment method.

Implementing a Batterer's Intervention Program in a Correctional Setting: A Tertiary Prevention Model

This study discusses the pretest and posttest results of a batterer's intervention program (BIP) implemented within a California state prison substance abuse program (SAP), with a recommendation for further programs to be implemented within correctional institutions. The efficacy of utilizing correctional facilities to reach offenders who self-report domestic violence behaviors is evaluated. The 52-week curriculum was designed to address the unique environment of a correctional setting and the characteristics of the participants, using established psycho-educational and cognitive-behavioral methods. A repeated measurement design was used to evaluate the participants' cognitive changes, including acceptance of personal responsibility for abusive behaviors. Using a modified Abusive Behavior Inventory along with Criminal Thinking Scales, participants were tested at intake and again at 18 sessions. Their responses were statistically significant to p < .01.

The Process of Couple Healing Following Infidelity

Infidelity can have a devastating effect on marriages and individuals. This qualitative study explores the process of healing from infidelity and therapist behaviors that facilitate this process. In-depth client interviews suggest that healing occurs as couples pass through a seven-step process: (1) exploration of emotions and thoughts surrounding the infidelity, (2) expression of these to their partner, (3) development of empathy, (4) softening of emotions, (5) acceptance of personal responsibility and reduction of blame, (6) establishment of accountability, and (7) restoration of trust. While initially these factors occur sequentially, the process gradually becomes non-linear. Therapist behaviors which facilitate healing from infidelity are discussed.

The 10-item Student Personal Responsibility Scale (SPRS-10) was developed to assess students' acceptance of personal responsibility in their day-to-day living. Peace Fair or Warfare: Educating the Community

Psychologists who wish to promote peace and justice must investigate how to mobilize the political will of the people in order to improve the policy making of the elite. This is the second study in a program of action research designed to investigate ways of encouraging people to accept personal responsiblity for influencing governmental foreign policy. It reports an attempt to create an ideal educational experience—a peace fair—that would provide the set of conditions that the first study suggested were essential for the acceptance of personal responsibility. The fair was successful in convincing individuals that they personally could do something to help prevent nuclear war. However, it revealed a serious weakness in the current peace movement—an inability to portray convincingly a course of national action that could promote peace and justice. This is an essential component for efficient action. Suggestions are made for the next round of research.

Symptoms, social stratification and self-responsibility for health in the United States and West Germany

This study compares the responses of a sample of Americans in Illinois and West Germans in North-Rhine Westphalia on the basis of symptom perception, symptom experience, physician utilization and health-locus-of-control. The hypothesis that as socioeconomic status increases, the more likely the individual is to manifest and behavior favorable toward self-control and acceptance of personal responsibility in health care matters was tested. The hypothesis was supported by the American data, but not the West German. Possible trends in West German society accounting for a significant lack of socioeconomic variance in illness behavior are discussed.

Relationships between Need to Appear Socially Desirable, Achievement Motivation, and Attribution of Academic Outcomes in Secondary School Students

Measures of social desirability, achievement motivation and attribution of academic outcomes were administered to 415 Form Five students (201 men and 214 women) in secondary schools and a teachers' training college. The aim was to find out how the need to appear socially desirable correlated with the need to achieve and the attribution of academic outcomes for Nigerian students. Three patterns of relationship were discernible. Firstly, for men, there was a non-significant inverse relationship between the need to appear socially desirable and the attribution of academic outcomes, whereas, for women, the relationship was positive and significant, indicating that women appear to have a stronger need to attribute academic outcomes in ways that make them appear socially desirable. Another interpretation is that the need to appear socially desirable may tend to enhance the acceptance of personal responsibility for academic outcomes for men more than women. Secondly, the relationship between the need to appear socially desirable and the need to achieve was negative and significant for both men and women, indicating that both sexes seem to possess a need to achieve in socially desirable directions, even though the two needs develop inversely. Evidence from the literature points to the fact that such inverse development involving social desirability tends to be healthier for personality and behaviour. Thirdly, the correlation between attribution of academic outcomes and the need to achieve was nonsignificant for men but significant for women, indicating that the manner of attributing responsibility for academic outcomes is predictive of achievement motivation for women but not for men.
