Research on the Relationship between Emotional Education and Rational Education in Ideological and Political Education Curriculum

Under the background of the rapid development of Chinese path to modernization and the accelerated evolution of the unprecedented changes in the world in a century, the improvement of the talent training mechanism has attracted more and more attention from the society. Among them, the ideological and political education curriculum has become one of the main means of talent training, and the emotional education and the rational education will directly affect the actual effect of the ideological and political education. Emotional education focuses on emotional experience and the cultivation of moral sense, while rational education focuses on the improvement of thinking ability and theoretical level. The balance between the two contributes to the realization of comprehensive quality-oriented education. Through the analysis and discussion of the basic theory, implementation approach and the current situation of emotional education and rational education, the paper aims to find out the main problems in the process of practical education, explore the effective balance strategy, and then promote the organic combination of theory and practice, enhance the educational effect, and promote the comprehensive development of students.

A Configurational Perspective on the Quality of Managers’ Counterfactual Reflections

Counterfactual reflection (CFR)—thinking about “what might have been if”—can enhance learning from experience, but only if the CFR is high-quality. Yet, what shapes differences in CFR quality remains largely unknown. Because managers typically reflect on experiences by concomitantly considering relevant factors and their collective interdependencies, we suggest that CFR quality is causally complex. To investigate this possibility, we interviewed 129 managers. In these interviews, they reflected on recently concluded business-to-business negotiations. Using fuzzy-set qualitative comparative analysis, we find three equifinal configurations of negotiation factors associated with high-quality CFR and eight associated with low-quality CFR. Drawing on the interviews, we identify managers’ ability to disentangle causal linkages in their past negotiation and their motivation for high-quality CFR in the present as plausible mechanisms underlying differences in CFR quality. We find high-quality CFR only following experiences where managers possess high levels of both situation-specific ability and motivation. In contrast, experiences that leave managers feeling unable or unmotivated due to high satisfaction, indifference, or defensiveness, are linked to low-quality CFR. Overall, our study advances understanding of why there are differences in CFR quality by linking past experiences with managers’ abilities and motivation. From a managerial perspective, we suggest that organizations avoid “one size fits all” approaches to CFR. Instead, we recommend actionable measures for both reflecting managers and their supervisors to address the specific reasons that prevent managers from engaging in high-quality CFR after their negotiation experiences.

Research on Maximum Explosive Strength and Training Methods

The article mainly uses the literature method to define the maximum explosive force and discusses the importance for human sports performance. Attempts from the factors affecting explosive force, explosive force training, development of explosive force training methods, explosive force training load selection, for athletes explosive force training to mention the new training design ideas.

Training Methods and Competitive Ability of High School Aerobics Athletes

This study is based on the relationship between the training methods and influencing factors of high school aerobics athletes' competitive ability, laying a foundation for improving the competitive ability of aerobics athletes. The results show that the improvement of aerobics athletes' training methods in training, such as Training goals and plans, Training content and methods, Training intensity and quantification, Training cycle and rhythm, Coaching team and support system, and Cultivation of athletes' psychological quality, all contribute to the improvement of competitive ability, thereby improving the sports performance of aerobics athletes. Through descriptive correlation design and SPSS analysis of 65 students' data, it was found that aerobics athletes' interest in high-dimensional competitive ability, including Technical level, Physical fitness, Artistic expression, Mental quality, Spirit of teamwork and Training goals and plans, Training content and methods, Training intensity and quantification, Training cycle and rhythm, Coaching team and support system, Cultivation of athletes' psychological quality in training methods, etc. In order to improve the competitive ability and training method level of aerobics athletes, teachers should take relevant measures in teaching, such as not considering sex, grade, and training years as the main factors for evaluating the competitive ability and training methods of aerobics athletes, emphasizing the actual content of course design and the organization of teachers, helping aerobics athletes to establish a good training method system and improve the development level of aerobics competitive ability.

Leadership and Management Competencies of Nurse Managers: A Cross-sectional Study in Northern and Central Vietnam

Objective: The competence of nurse managers is essential to ensure outstanding patient care and the key contributors to the healthcare organization’s success. This study aimed to adapt the Chase Nurse Manager Competency Instrument (CNMCI) to Vietnamese situations and then to examine the leadership, management, and related characteristics of nurse managers. Material and Methods: A cross-sectional study was conducted in 17 Children and Obstetric and Pediatric hospitals in northern and central area of Vietnam using the CNMCI. Nurse managers (n=227) who were working in these hospitals participated in this study. Data were collected from July 2022 to August 2022. Results: Nurse managers had 3.51 ± 0.42 level of knowledge and 2.95 ± 0.48 level of ability to apply leadership and management competencies. However, only level of hospital and number of employees were significant related factors of leadership and management competencies of nurse manager. Conclusion: This study was the first in Vietnam which we examined the leadership competencies of nurse managers in Obstetric and Pediatric Hospitals. The results suggested that Vietnamese version of CNMCI was a reliable, valid instrument to assess competencies of nurse managers. It is necessary to have an effective leadership and manager training program to improve the competencies of nurse managers.

Effective learning requires an approach that can increase students' motivation to learn and engagement in learning. One innovative approach that has been proven effective in this regard is Teaching at the Right Level (TaRL). Teaching at the Right Level (TaRL) focuses on matching learning materials to students' ability levels, not just age or grade. Research shows that this approach can optimize materials that match learners' abilities and can further increase learners' motivation to learn. By grouping learners according to ability and providing appropriate learning support, Teaching at the Right Level (TaRL) becomes a learning solution for learners based on ability level to overcome learning differences and increase learners' confidence. This research contains the basic concepts of Teaching at the Right Level (TaRL), supporting theories and the impact of the implementation of learning with the Teaching at the Right Level (TaRL) approach on students' learning motivation at SD Negeri Condongcatur. Teaching at the Right Level (TaRL) increases learners' engagement and satisfaction in learning. Teaching at the Right Level (TaRL) is an effective approach to increase learners' learning motivation.

Study of the Relationship Between Specialised Physical Fitness and Repeated Sprinting Ability in University Football Players

Objective: To explore the relationship between specialised physical quality and repeated sprinting ability of university football players, and to provide theoretical basis for improving repeated sprinting ability and sports level of university football players. Methods: 29 athletes from the Chizhou University varsity football team were selected as test subjects using the method of intentional sampling to measure their specialised physical fitness and repeated sprinting ability, and Pearson correlation analysis and linear regression analysis were used to explore the relationship between specialised physical fitness and repeated sprinting ability. Results: The YO-YO test, 5*25 m run, 30 m run and T-run had different degrees of positive or negative correlation with RSAbest and RSAmean in the specialised physical fitness. 67.4% of the maximal recurrent sprinting ability could be explained by the YO-YO test, 5*25 m run, 30 m run and T-run; 61.2% of the average recurrent sprinting ability could be explained by the YO-YO test, 5*25 m run and 30 m run. 61.2% of average repeated sprinting ability. Conclusion: Specialised physical fitness of university football players is related to repeated sprinting ability, and improving specialised physical fitness is conducive to enhancing repeated sprinting ability of football players.

The irtQ R package: a user-friendly tool for item response theorybased test data analysis and calibration.

Computerized adaptive testing (CAT) has become a widely adopted test design for high-stakes licensing and certification exams, particularly in the health professions in the United States, due to its ability to tailor test difficulty in real time, reducing testing time while providing precise ability estimates. A key component of CAT is item response theory (IRT), which facilitates the dynamic selection of items based on examinees' ability levels during a test. Accurate estimation of item and ability parameters is essential for successful CAT implementation, necessitating convenient and reliable software to ensure precise parameter estimation. This paper introduces the irtQ R package (http://CRAN.R-project.org/), which simplifies IRTbased analysis and item calibration under unidimensional IRT models. While it does not directly simulate CAT, it provides essential tools to support CAT development, including parameter estimation using marginal maximum likelihood estimation via the expectation-maximization algorithm, pretest item calibration through fixed item parameter calibration and fixed ability parameter calibration methods, and examinee ability estimation. The package also enables users to compute item and test characteristic curves and information functions necessary for evaluating the psychometric properties of a test. This paper illustrates the key features of the irtQ package through examples using simulated datasets, demonstrating its utility in IRT applications such as test data analysis and ability scoring. By providing a user-friendly environment for IRT analysis, irtQ significantly enhances the capacity for efficient adaptive testing research and operations. Finally, the paper highlights additional core functionalities of irtQ, emphasizing its broader applicability to the development and operation of IRT-based assessments.

The Effect of Application of Typing Master Pro Version 11 Against Blind Ten-Finger Typing Ability

The purpose of this study is to assess the impact of the application of Typing Master Pro version 11 on students' typing skills in class XI of SMK Negeri 1 Ampek Angkek. This study was motivated by the low level of ability of class XI students majoring in Office Management and business services in typing ten fingers quickly and accurately, as well as the lack of utilization of applications supporting typing skills. The approach taken was to apply the Typing Master Pro version 11 application. This study used a quasi-experimental method with a quantitative approach. The data instrument used involved a test. The results showed an increase in students' ten-finger typing skills. The experimental group experienced an increase in typing skill scores of 71.17%, achieved a completeness rate of 87.5%, and an accuracy rate of 90%. Meanwhile, the control group experienced an increase of 37.22%, with a completion rate of 43.75%, and an accuracy rate of 80%. The increase in the control group was smaller than the increase in the experimental group.

Chinese version of the Death Anxiety Beliefs and Behaviours Scale: Psychometric properties based on CTT and IRT

ObjectivesThe Death Anxiety Beliefs and Behaviour Scale (DABBS) is a unique tool designed to assess the detrimental beliefs and avoidant behaviors linked to death anxiety. This study aimed to adapt the DABBS into Chinese and verify its psychometric characteristics within a community-dwelling older adult population. MethodsThis study used a cross-sectional design and translated the DABBS into Chinese. The psychometric properties of 437 community-dwelling older persons were assessed using the Classical Test Theory (CTT) and Item Response Theory (IRT). ResultsThe DABBS consisted of affect, beliefs, and behaviours, with 18 entries in 3 dimensions. The I-CVI of the DABBS ranged from 0.857 to 1.000, and the S-CVI was 0.968; Cronbach's alpha of 0.905. Rasch analysis results showed that the 3 dimensions of the scale possessed good unidimensionality, and the entries were well-fitted to the dimensions in which they were located; each entry Infit MNSQ and Outfit MNSQ were in the range of 0.50 to 1.50; the analysis of the functional differences of items in different characteristic subgroups (gender) showed that the absolute value of DIF Contrast was <0.50. The results of the Wright map showed that the ability of the participants was normally distributed, and the difficulty of the scale's entries was adapted to the average ability level of older adults. ConclusionsThe present data indicate that the revised DABBS is a valid and reliable tool for assessing affect, beliefs, and behaviors associated with death anxiety in community-dwelling older individuals.

Bilateral Proxy Federated Domain Generalization for Privacy-preserving Medical Image Diagnosis.

Contemporary domain generalization methods have demonstrated effectiveness in aiding the generalized diagnosis of medical images with multi-source data by joint optimization. However, the centralized training paradigm employed by these approaches becomes infeasible when data are non-shared across domains due to the high privacy of medical data. Despite attempts by existing federated domain generalization methods to address this issue, the simultaneous attainment of strict privacy protection and a satisfactory level of generalization ability on out-of-distribution data remains a persistent challenge. In this paper, to tackle this challenging problem, we propose a novel approach called the Bilateral Proxy Framework (BPF). The BPF leverages the client-side proxies to facilitate the strict privacy-preserving communications with the server and ensure smoother and more stable convergences of local models through mutual distillation. Meanwhile, the server-side proxy adopts a distance-based strategy and a parameter moving average scheme, which enhances the stability and robustness of the global model, particularly by averting abrupt parameter changes that could result in fluctuations or overfitting. Through these advancements, our framework strives to enhance the generalization capability of the global model, enabling more accurate and reliable medical image diagnosis in federated settings. The effectiveness of our method is demonstrated with superior performance over state-of-the-arts on both simulated and real-world distribution medical image diagnosis tasks.

Improving the Reading Ability of Children Aged 5-6 Years Through Big Book Media at Puri Cendikia Kindergarten for the 2023/2024 Academic Year

This research aims to describe how to improve children's reading abilities at Puri Cendikia Kindergarten for the 2022/2023 school year. This research focuses more on how to improve children's reading abilities at the age of 5-6 years. This research is Classroom Action Research (PTK) where the subjects in this research are group B students from Puri Cendikia Kindergarten with a total of 8 students. The focus of this research is the reading ability of children aged 5-6 years. In this research, researchers used Big Book media to improve children's ability to read to meet the criteria desired by the researcher. In this study, data collection only used two cycles, in the first cycle the level of children's reading abilities still looked low because there were still some children's reading abilities that had not improved significantly. In cycle I with Developing As Expected (BSH) results there were 4 children or equivalent to 50%, and Very Well Developing (BSB) consisted of 1 child or equivalent to 12.5%. Apart from that, there is cycle II as a planning improvement action where from cycle I to cycle II there was an increase of 37.5% so that children who developed according to expectations (BSH) consisted of 6 children or the equivalent of 75%, and developed very well. (BSB) totaling 3 children or the equivalent of 37.5%. So with this increase, the researcher stopped his research because the researcher had obtained the correct results according to the desired classical value. However, individual scores are still not perfect and there are still children who fall below the assessment criteria.

Comparing the technical quality and clinical outcomes of root canal treatment on immature permanent incisors in children: a retrospective evaluation of three bioceramic plug materials.

To assess the technical quality and clinical outcomes of non-surgical endodontic treatment of immature permanent incisor teeth with three different bioceramic plug materials and highlight variables which may influence treatment and quality outcomes. This cross-sectional analysis forms part of a retrospective service evaluation of the technical quality and clinical outcome of orthograde root canal treatment carried out in the Paediatric Dentistry Department of Charles Clifford Dental Hospital (United Kingdom). Twenty-five cases were identified chronologically, using the electronic patient record system, for three bioceramic plug materials: Mineral Trioxide Aggregate (MTA), Biodentine, and TotalFill Putty. All radiographs were analysed using standard conditions. Intra- and inter-examiner agreement was calculated using Kappa and weighted Kappa tests. Data were collected using a data collection tool, entered into Microsoft Excel, and analysed using descriptive statistics, exploratory analysis with Chi-squared tests, and multivariable analyses (logistic regression). At 12-month review, the success rate for each apexification material was MTA (84%), Biodentine (88%), and TotalFill Putty (92%). MTA had the highest frequency of post-operative coronal discolouration, with Biodentine most associated with apical extrusion. A number of variables and trends that affect the clinical outcome were identified, including the presence of pre-operative resorption, the number of operators involved in treatment, the number of appointments to complete treatment, as well as how non-use of local anaesthetic during apical plug placement had no adverse effect on technical quality or clinical outcome. MTA, Biodentine, and TotalFill Putty are highly effective apexification materials which produce excellent clinical outcomes. As such, logistical and situational factors, such as continuity of care from operators with increased levels of experience, skill and ability, rather than material choice, may be more prognostic regarding the technical quality and clinical outcome of immature endodontic treatment. Further high-quality evidence is required.

Analysis of Mathematical Critical Thinking Ability based on Students' Ability Level

Analyzing and testing mathematical critical thinking skills based on the ability level of class VIII students of junior high school is the aim of this research. By understanding the level of students' abilities, educators can determine students' mathematical critical thinking abilities and develop appropriate teaching strategies to improve students' abilities. This study uses a qualitative descriptive research method. This research was conducted at one of the junior high schools in Cipatat, West Bandung Regency with heterogeneous abilities of 8 students. This research uses data collection techniques by providing mathematical critical thinking ability questions on SPLDV material which consists of 5 essay test questions based on the following indicators: (1) Checking the completeness of problem solving steps. (2) Look for alternative solutions to problems. (3) Identify spldv equations with certain characteristics. (4) Choose the best way to solve the problem from alternative ways of solving it. (5) Identifying the adequacy of data on a problem. In this study, the results of the analysis have shown that students at a high level of ability can check the completeness of problem solving steps, students with a medium level of ability have little difficulty in identifying spldv equations with certain characteristics, and students with a low level of ability have difficulty finding alternatives problem solution.

Analysis of Mathematical Creative Thinking Ability in View of Students' Confidence in Number Pattern Material

In the 21st century, learning mathematics requires students to master 4 skills, one of which is creative mathematical thinking. This ability will encourage students to have different points of view in solving a problem. The low ability to think creatively in mathematics is shown by the large number of students who are unable to express creative ideas when studying mathematics. One of the things that underlies creativity is self-confidence because there is a relationship between the two. The aim of this research is to describe mathematical creative thinking abilities in terms of self-confidence in number pattern material. This research is descriptive qualitative research. The subjects in this research were 6 students with high, medium and low self-confidence categories in each class VIII A and VIII B. The data collection techniques used were questionnaires, tests and interviews and analyzed using triangulation of sources and techniques. Apart from that, there are 3 stages of data analysis techniques, namely data reduction, data presentation, and drawing conclusions. The research results show that students with high self-confidence have a level of creative thinking ability (TKBK) 4 (very creative) by mastering the indicators of fluency, flexibility and novelty. Then students with moderate self-confidence have a creative thinking ability level (TKBK) 3 (creative) by mastering fluency and flexibility indicators. Finally, students with low self-confidence have a creative thinking ability level (TKBK) 3 (creative) by mastering indicators of fluency and flexibility.

Симуляционное обучение: ключевой элемент профессиональной подготовки медицинских работников в контексте аккредитации.

The article shows the importance of simulation training in preparation for the procedure of primary specialized accreditation of medical specialists. Introduction. Simulation training is gaining popularity, and is gradually becoming one of the most important tools in medical education. It not only improves the quality of education, but also makes it more competitive. Due to the development of professional skills, including decision-making, according to pre-simulated scenarios, students and practicing medical professionals (doctors, paramedics, nurses) receive not only motivation, but also interest in mastering practical skills. In the future, they will be able to apply these skills in their professional activities. Training in simulated conditions also allows medical professionals to prepare for the accreditation procedure (primary, primary specialized). The purpose of this article is to describe the experience of using simulation training in the preparation of students of additional professional education (DPO) at the Department of Nursing Management of the branch of the Military Medical Academy in Moscow for the procedure of primary specialized accreditation (PSA). Materials and methods. We analyzed the results of the procedure of primary specialized accreditation in the specialty «medical care» and «nursing» of students who were trained at the department (nursing management) at the branch of the Military Medical Academy in Moscow in the period from September 2021 to December 2023 and practiced all practical skills in simulated conditions. Results. The analysis of the final tables with the results of the accreditation procedure for nurses and paramedics allows us to conclude that all students in the simulation center have successfully passed the accreditation procedure, training sessions provide students with a high level of training necessary for successful accreditation. Conclusions. Simulation training is an integral part of modern professional retraining and advanced training programs for medical professionals. It is a powerful tool that helps to prepare professional medical professionals for the realities of modern practice. Students and trainees who have completed such training demonstrate a higher level of knowledge, skills and abilities than those who receive traditional education.

Human capital indicators as influenced by SES, cognitive and non-cognitive skills: evidence from Taiwan’s PISA performance

Taiwan’s high performance in the PISA surveys has not been unnoticed by researchers. However, both individual level research and cross-national research which is relevant for Taiwan’s PISA achievement is typically lacking, especially as regards later surveys. This article examined Taiwan’s PISA mathematics and reading achievement in 2018, using individual level data (Valid N = 6863) and cross-national data with aggregated data for 77 countries. At the individual level, socioeconomic and non-cognitive variables explain the most variance of PISA mathematics and reading. At the cross-national level, cognitive ability and average income were statistically significant with cognitive ability as the strongest predictor. As Taiwan has a high level of average cognitive ability it may regarded as a strong comparative advantage with regard to human capital.

Application of core strength training based on learning control robot technology in Badminton

The implementation of core strength training in badminton has received increasing attention as the game and training theories have matured. A single typical strength training session is not the same as core strength training. Strengthening the trunk’s core muscles can help athletes become more adaptable and physically strong, which will have a significant influence on badminton’s future growth. At present, core strength training has been tried to be applied to the routine training of athletes. However, its application has not been scientifically guided and its role cannot be fully exerted, which has adversely affected the improvement of athletes’ skill levels. Consequently, a thorough analysis of badminton’s features was done in this research. The use of core strength training in badminton was thoroughly investigated based on an exploration of the application value of this technique in conjunction with learning and control robot technology. This article examined three levels of special abilities, physical fitness and balancing ability, and compared it with the standard core strength training technology to demonstrate the application impact of the learning control robot’s core strength training in badminton. According to the experimental findings, learning control robot technology may be achieved through core strength training, the average scores of students’ badminton speed quality and strength quality were about 8.10 and 8.45. There was a clear difference between the scores of 6.69 and 7.54 of the traditional training methods, which proved its feasibility.

E-Readiness Operator Pelaksana dalam Penerapan Aplikasi Administrasi Kependudukan Cepat Akurat Terintegrasi (PANDU CAKTI) Di Kabupaten Tulungagung

The Population and Civil Registration Office of Tulungagung Regency launched a new solution in the form of an online application called the Integrated Fast Accurate Population Administration Service (Pandu Cakti). With the Pandu Cakti online application, the Tulungagung community no longer needs to come to the Dispendukcapil Office to take care of population documents at their respective village or kelurahan offices. With the intention to simplify and speed up the process of managing population administration. Therefore, this study aims to measure the level of e-readiness ability of operators implementing the integrated fast accurate population administration application (PANDU CAKTI) in Tulungagung Regency. the type of research used is quantitative research. While the approach used in this research is a quantitative descriptive approach with data collection techniques with questionnaire surveys, documentation, observation, and interviews. The results showed that indicators of perceived Ease of Use, attitude Toward of Using, behavioral Intention to Use, and actual System Usage were in the ready category in the application of panducakti innovation. However, the perceived usefulness indicator falls into the category of quite ready.

Skeletal muscle symptoms and quantitative MRI in females with dystrophinopathy.

The dystrophinopathies primarily affect males; however, female carriers of pathogenic dystrophin variants can develop skeletal muscle symptoms. This study aimed to evaluate muscle involvement and symptoms in females with dystrophinopathy using quantitative magnetic resonance imaging (MRI), functional assessments, and patient-reported outcomes. Controls and females with dystrophinopathy with muscle symptoms of pain, weakness, fatigue, or excessive tightness were enrolled in this cross-sectional study. Participants underwent lower extremity MRI to quantify muscle inflammation, replacement by fat, and disease asymmetry. Cardiac MRI, functional ability, muscle symptoms, and serum creatine kinase levels were also evaluated. Six pediatric females with dystrophinopathy (mean age: 11.7 years), 11 adult females with dystrophinopathy (mean age: 41.3 years), and seven controls enrolled. The mean fat fraction was increased in females with dystrophinopathy compared to controls in the soleus (0.11 vs. 0.03, p = .0272) and vastus lateralis (0.16 vs. 0.03, p = .004). Magnetic resonance spectroscopy water T2, indicative of muscle inflammation, was elevated in the soleus and/or vastus lateralis in 11 of 17 individuals. North Star Ambulatory Assessment score was lower in the dystrophinopathy group compared to controls (29 vs. 34 points, p = .0428). From cardiac MRI, left ventricle T1 relaxation times were elevated in females with dystrophinopathy compared to controls (1311 ± 55 vs. 1263 ± 25 ms, p < .05), but ejection fraction and circumferential strain did not differ. Symptomatic females with dystrophinopathy quantitatively demonstrate muscle replacement by fat and inflammation, along with impairments in functional ability and cardiac function. Additional research is needed to evaluate how symptoms and muscle involvement change longitudinally.
