Introduction

De nouvelles frontières pour le projet dans les Alpes centrales et orientales / Neue Grenzen für das Projekt in den Mittel- und Ostalpen / Nove meje projekta v osrednjih in vzhodnih Alpah / New frontiers for the project in the central and eastern Alps. The two examples show that, there is no such thing as a homogeneous Alpine architecture, there are specific framework conditions and challenges for building in the Alps that justify the specific categorisation of “Alpine architecture”. Keywords Alpine architecture, landscape, context, mountains, valleys. Innsbruck (Österreich), 2008 (Project Gilbert Sommer und Andreas Flora).
