Abstract

Summary The pathology of the udder excreting Brucella abortus Mastitis in cattle caused by Brucella abortus was studied on 25 udders from cows excreting this organism. There were no changes in the udder tissue or in the milk which were specific macroscopically for Brucellosis. Mastitis due to Brucella abortus is characterised by a nonpurulent, proliferative interstitial inflammation, partly diffuse and partly granulomatous, of predominant reticular character and with a tendency to break into the glandular tissue.
