Abstract

The frequency of shift work, four-day work weeks and flexible working hours is increasing among American organizations. In this article, the author discusses each of these variations in the traditional work week and examines their advantages and disantagen. Included are suggestions for how organizations should ap pmach a change in their work schedule system to assure that the contemplated change is right for the organization and its employees and to ease the acceptance of the new system
