Abstract

This scoping review examines the characteristics and reported outcomes of faculty incentive programs used to promote the adoption, adaptation, or creation of Open Educational Resources (OER) by academic libraries at higher education institutions. The study uses the PRISMA protocol for scoping reviews. The authors reviewed 1901 records: 1499 were from database searches and 402 from the grey literature. Twenty-three records met the inclusion criteria for this study. This study aims to contribute useful insights to academic library administrators for the development of future OER faculty incentive programs.
