Women Soaring High with Literary Flight

Abstract

Women constitute around half of the world’s population. The path to their glory is no bed of roses but literacy has made the pain bearable. This paper is a testament that when women are given the opportunity to learn to gain knowledge, they never miss the mark. They can be anyone they want to be, and achieve anything they want to do. The only thing they need is a guiding light to show them the right way. Literacy is the key that opens the door that has been locked for them for eons. Teaching a woman does not mean empowering a single person. Its impact can be seen far and wide. It is so because women are nurturers by nature. What they absorb is what they radiate and feed to people around them. So, teaching a single woman in a community is like teaching the whole community itself. Women fill various roles in different strata of society from a mother to a partner to an employee to a boss. Being literate is the master card that enables them to play these roles to the greatest of their potential. Taking examples from all walks of life with this paper I am giving tribute to women and making a claim that women and knowledge walk hand in hand miracles are ordinary.
