Abstract

The purpose of the paper is to identify and categorise the factors that influencing Behavioural Based Safety (BBS) in Micro, Small and Medium-sized Enterprises (MSMEs) using Total Interpretive Structural Modelling (TISM) approach. This paper analyses the relationships between factors and rank them based on the dependence and driving power. Furthermore, this is the first attempt to understand these BBS factors using the TISM approach. The result indicates that safety cultures, maintenance of equipment and emotional intelligence are the key/triggering factors of BBS of MSMEs. The results of this study are useful for understanding the factors that lead MSMEs to achieve BBS in their organization.
