Abstract
SummaryThis paper represents a follow up (Part II) to the original paper published in 2008 in this journal. It presents the learning from the first paper and also the results of recent work by the authors to apply and illustrate to other structural engineers the many benefits of Applied Technology Council. . This includes the use of mathematical equations from structural reliability theory, incorporation of professional judgment of the structural engineer of record and maximum utilization of published peer reviewed laboratory and testing of building components and systems.
