Abstract

Objective To analyze the effect of Wenyang Bushen recipe combined with hemodialysis for patients with chronic renal failure. Methods 103 patients with chronic renal failure treated at our hospital were randomly divided into a control group (n=51) and an observation group (n=52). The control group were treated with hemodialysis; in addition, the observation group were treated with Wenyang Bushen recipe. The renal function and endothelial function of the two groups were compared after the treatment. Results The levels of ET-1, BUN, Scr, and UA were lower and the levels of SHb, NO, and H2S were higher in the observation group than in the control group [(20.01±2.99) pg/ml vs. (23.28±4.20) pg/ml, (9.11±1.71) mmol/L vs. (11.79±2.16) mmol/L, (602.32±76.65) μmol/L vs. (688.81±90.01) μmol/L, (369.64±58.15) μmol/L vs. (390.15±101.01) μmol/L, (5.90±0.70)% vs. (3.53±0.60)%, (18.89±1.90)μmol/L vs. (16.41±1.81)μmol/L, and (9.23±1.13)μmol/L vs. (7.61±1.09)μmol/L, all P<0.05]. Conclusion Wenyang Bushen recipe can effectively improve vascular endothelial function and promote renal function recovery in patients with chronic renal failure. Key words: Wenyang Bushen recipe; Hemodialysis; Chronic renal failure; Vascular endothelial function
