Abstract

Voltammetric sensor has been developed for secretolytic agent, ambroxol at titanium dioxide nanoparticles modified carbon paste electrode (CPE). It was observed that, modified electrode was enhanced the peak current remarkably in phosphate buffer solution (PBS) as compared to other buffer solutions like Britton and Robinson buffer solutions and citrate buffer solutions. Effect of other electrochemical parameters like pH, accumulation time, scan rate, concentration, were studied at various voltammetric techniques. The use of TiO2 nanoparticles shows an increment in the peak current with shifts in the potential to less negative values. Based on the experimental data obtained, number of electrons /protons transferred and rate constant were calculated. The developed sensor was applied for the determination of ambroxol in pharmaceutical and urine samples.
