Abstract
The article considers the influence of the factors of the process of collectivization on the formation and development of collective farms as new state institutions at the early stage of collectivization in 1930-1932 on the example of the Central Chernozem region. The sources of bureaucratization and formalization of collective farms’ activities, the militarization of their management system, the growing conflict within the management corps and the destruction of the social world of the village are analyzed.
