Abstract

Most patients, and indeed many operators, dislike visual fields. This article looks at why this is so, what can be done to ameliorate the difficulties and why doing fields well is essential. Practical tips to improve test quality will be discussed. The article will focus on the Humphrey field analyzer but other methods will be mentioned and the principles apply to fields testing of any type.
