Abstract
The aim of this publication is to draw the situation of the imprisoned and their right to vote in particular. Author deliberately refers to the constitutional regulations which relate to the rights and freedoms of citizens. Author also speaks of the suffrage, criminal and international law as it is necessary to expose the scale of the abnormalities in procedures within prison facilities – regarding prisoners ability exercise their right to vote. Another part of the publication that is dedicated to disclose the irregularities in terms of organisation of the voting itself within the penitentiary, also refers to the action that can be taken in order to solve this complicated matter.
