As of Dec 31 2005, Co.'s Indiana Gas Company, Inc. public utility provided energy delivery services to about 562,000 natural gas customers located in central and southern Indiana. Co.'s Southern Indiana Gas and Electric Company utility provided energy delivery services to approximately 140,000 electric customers and about 112,000 natural gas customers located near Evansville in southwestern Indiana. Co.'s Ohio operations provided energy delivery services to approximately 318,000 natural gas customers located near Dayton in west central Ohio.
