Abstract
A variational path-integral (VPI) approach is applied to the study of the current and efficiency for a rocked ratchet system. The effective classical potential is first obtained from the VPI, and then the diffusion process of a particle moving in this effective classical potential is simulated. The correction of quantum fluctuations to the classical results is investigated.
