Abstract

Within the ESCOBA project, the opportunity has arisen to validate the description of the soil-related processes in the 'High Resolution Biosphere Model' (HRBM) through collaboration of the Institute of Plant Ecology at Gießen with staff of the Institute of Terrestrial Ecology (ITE) at Merlewood Research Station, who provided soil organic carbon data for Great Britain.
