Performance ImprovementVolume 41, Issue 8 p. 28-33 Article Using psychological type as a guide for successful online instruction Lise Patton EdD, Lise Patton EdD lpatton@collegis.com Dr. Lise Patton is a Senior Instructional Analyst with Collegis, the leading provider of curriculum and learning technology solutions for higher education. In this capacity, she works with faculty members who are making the transition to teaching online. For the past 16 years Lise has helped Fortune 100 companies and higher education institutions solve performance problems using distance education technologies. She taught in the traditional classroom before beginning to teach on line in 1995. Since her first online course, Lise has designed, developed, and taught more than a dozen courses. As an instructional consultant, she has helped hundreds of instructors in North and South America effectively make the transition to the online environment. Lise holds a bachelor's degree in Journalism from Oklahoma State University, a master's degree in Adult Education from Widener University, and a doctorate in education from North Carolina State University.
