Abstract

This work contains information about some aspects of the use of Big Data technologies in the transport sector, such as predictive analysis of vehicle breakdowns, issues of delivering large amounts of data from rolling stock. Some options for directions for further research on the use of Big Data technologies are considered. One of the problems of using Big Data technologies in the field of transport is the problem of delivering large amounts of information to data processing centers. If for urban transport, where coverage by networks of mobile cellular operators approaches 100%, there are no problems in sending large amounts of data (data can be accumulated on board the vehicle and transmitted at other times, for example, when the vehicle is in the park), then for this transport, such as trucks, trains, cargo planes, there is a certain problem in delivering large amounts of data. Keywords: Big Data technologies, vehicle industry, collecting data, DFM, risks.
