Abstract

This research paper is focused on investigating the present status, problems encountered by students in utilizing social media libraries, their opinions for improvement, the purpose, and the importance of using social media in marketing of library resources and services in Polytechnic University of the Philippines. Three hundred thirty-seven (337) selected students from the College of Business Administration participated to be the respondents of this study. The findings of this paper showed that using social media to market the library resources and services is effective, thus should be used to reach the wider audience and library users. The selected respondents can be reached electronically through social media platforms that they mostly use such as: Facebook, Google+, and Youtube. With all of this, the selected students from the College of Business Administration of the Polytechnic University of the Philippines have a significant relationship from their overall satisfaction to the library resources and services.
