Abstract

The article outlines the main active and interactive methods used in the process of learning a foreign language in non-linguistic higher education institutions. It is considered the main approaches to the problems of formation of communication skills and abilities in a foreign language. The competencies that are successfully used in the process of implementing methods of the communicative system-activity approach to learning, problem-based learning methods, game technologies, and learning in an electronic information and educational environment are specified.
