Abstract

The problem of this research is the low activity and student learning outcomes in PAI class IV subjects at SDN 5 Metro Utara. This study aims to improve student learning activities, teacher performance, and student learning outcomes through the STAD type cooperative learning model in the fourth grade PAI subjects at SDN 5 Metro Utara in the 2019/2020 academic year. This research was conducted in the form of Classroom Action Research (CAR). Data collection is in the form of teacher and student activity assessment sheets and learning evaluation sheets. Data collection techniques in the form of tests and non-tests were analyzed using qualitative and quantitative data. The results of the study indicate that in learning can increase student activity and learning outcomes. This can be seen from the percentage of teacher activity in the first cycle of 71.6% in the good category and in the second cycle the percentage of teacher activity is 81.5% in the very good category. While the percentage of student learning outcomes completeness in the first cycle is 71.43% and in the second cycle is 85.71% so that it has an increase of 14.28%.
