Abstract
Wavelet transform, which is a well-known and remarkable way of processing the unsteady signal, is considered to surpasses the Fourier analysis, and is applied in various fields. In this study, we examined about the separation of the turbulence and mean flow and the characteristic of turbulence by using wavelet transform. The turbulence is defined as highter-frequency components in the turbulence flow. The some turbulent characteristics could be observed by the wavelet analysis, but can not be seen when using a Fourier analysis. Because wavelet analysis is the method of time frequency analysis and Fourier analysis is the method of frequency analysis. And we confirmed that the wavelet analysis will be useful for the turbulence analysis.
