Abstract

In 2006, a small agro-pastoral settlement of the Vth century AD has been excavated in St-Victor-la-Coste (Gard). It is situated in the garrigue lining the valley of the Tave. The few arisen remains are very reduced : an area with tiles and stones shows that there were a small building, some terrace cultivations lined with low walls, and a stoned platform. The form and the size of this settlement are very unusual in this area, because at this time, most settlements in the Tave are largescaled villae located in the plain.
