Abstract

Several studies show that students in the same class can perceive, interact and respond to their learning environment in different ways. In this context, a single assessment methodology may not be able to satisfy the different types of learning present in a classroom. Therefore, this work aims to present a method for personalizing student assessment in courses in the area of technology. The method is based on the work of Honey-Alonso, proposed in the area of education. When applied in two different classes of the Bachelor of Information Systems course, the method obtained initial results that indicate possible improvements in the academic development of students. However, the results were considerably different for the different classes. In this work, we seek to explore the results obtained in an inferential and descriptive statistical manner, in order to obtain information that corroborates or refutes the results previously verified.
