Abstract

This paper presents a procedural approach for utilizing ultra-subwavelength rectangular chiral particles embedded in the substrate to eliminate the spurious response of the coupled transmission lines by equalizing the even and odd mode phase velocities in a large bandwidth, making it applicable to wideband coupled-line based structures. Even and odd mode phase velocities, is equalized with the BW of 4 GHz, spanning the range 0.5–4.5 GHz, the normalized phase velocity Root Mean Square Error is less than 0.005.
