Abstract

The study is devoted to the issues of medieval thought about animals as subjects of crimes, the means of proving their guilt and the purpose of punishments are analyzed. The study proposes a number of conclusions (conclusions) that show the formation of the modern criminal law doctrine about animals - an animal cannot be the subject of a crime and cannot be found guilty of committing it.
