Abstract
Africa’s rich cultural heritage has not always been fully integrated into its educational systems’ curriculum despite its intrinsic values and potential in contributing to the construction or reconstruction of the African identity tarnished or lost because of colonialism. Africa hopefully displays a wide range of philosophies capable of mending its broken identity. Examples of such powerful philosophies exist all over the continent such as Unhu, Maaya, and Ubuntu, among others.
