Abstract
We show how an exact treatment of the one-nucleon transfer reactions may serve as a starting point for an exact evaluation of the two-nucleon transfer reactions. We give first the general expansion of a function of the sum of three vectors and some extensions of well-known formulae. The two-nucleon transfer amplitude is then expressed including antisymmetrization. Derivations of no-recoil treatment, local-momentum approximation and full treatment, including finite-range and recoil effects, are given.
