Abstract
Two-nucleon transfer reactions between heavy ions are treated by means of the full-recoil finite-range DWBA method. Competitions between simultaneous and sequential transfer processes are studied. A new method is proposed for treating the simultaneous two-nucleon transfer. The reactions14C(16O,18O)12C,26Mg(160,14C)28Si and48Ca(16O,14C)50Ti are analyzed. The sequential transfer process is shown to dominate over the simultaneous transfer.
