Abstract

We report on the study of tunneling characteristics of 45° asymmetrical grain boundaries fabricated in YBa 2Cu 3O 7− δ films grown by the liquid phase epitaxy. A well defined conductance peak has been observed in the conductance vs voltage curves at various temperatures below T c. Magnetic field and temperature dependence of position and amplitude of this peak strongly suggests its superconducting origin. The estimated gap value is about 45 meV at T=5 K and decreases to zero near T c.
