Abstract
Objectives To evaluate the safety and efficacy of transurethral ureteroscopy holmiuum laser lithropsy under local anesthesia for pregnant women with ureteral stone. Methods Clinical data of 25 pregnancy with ureteral stone who were treated with holmium laser endoscopy during January 2010 to April 2016 were retrospectively reviewed.There were 4 cases of early pregnancy, 14 cases of middle pregnancy and 7 cases of late pregnancy in the study, and average pregnancy length was 25 weeks. All 25 cases had hydronephrosis. The unilateral ureteral stone, ureteral and renal stone complicated with ureteral stricture was 21, 4, 1, respectively. Results The symptoms greatly improved, and there was not any obsretric and urologic complication after surgery. All the pregnant women gave birth to healthy babies. Conclusions Ransurethral ureteroscopy holmiuum laser lithropsy under local anesthesia is a safe and effective method for ureteral stone during pregnancy.
