Abstract

Objective To study the clinical value of ureteroscopy with internally 4F ureteral catheter combined with holmium laser lithotripsy in treatment of ureteral infection stones. Methods All 70 patients of ureteral infection stones undergoing holmium laser lithotripsy during January 2016 to March 2018, 36 patients who were treated with ureteroscopy with internally 4F ureteral catheter combined with holmium laser lithotripsy, and 34 patients who were treated with ureteroscopic lithotripsy. The operation date, postoperative infection were observed and compared between the two groups. Results The success rate of the two groups of surgical lithotripsy was 100%. The intra-ureteral pressure of operating, operation time and postoperative hospital stay of ureteroscopy with internally 4F ureteral catheter combined with holmium laser lithotripsy group were lower than that of ureteroscopic lithotripsy group (P<0.05), and postoperative fever, fever continued times were lower than that of ureteroscopic lithotripsy group (P<0.05). Conclusions Ureteroscopy with internally 4F ureteral catheter combined with holmium laser lithotripsy in treatment of ureteral infection stones is safe and effective for the treatment of ureteral infection stones, and can reduce the incidence of postoperative infection.
