Introduction: Intracranial trauma comprises a group of injuries that frequently occur as a result of the trauma. They are an important cause of morbidity and mortality in all age groups. Objectives: The present study aimed to demonstrate the prevalence of hospitalizations and rates of morbidity and mortality due to intracranial trauma in Brazilian macro-regions. Methodology: This is a cross-sectional descriptive study that used the SIH data available at DATASUS. Information was collected on hospital admissions for intracranial trauma between the years 2015 and 2019. The data were analyzed using the Excel program. Results: The highest prevalence of hospitalizations due to trauma was observed in the regions with the highest population density in the country. The most affected age groups are between 20 and 50 years of age and mortality from ICT is prominent in the elderly over 80 years of age.
