Performance ImprovementVolume 42, Issue 9 p. 26-32 Article Transitioning Learning from brick and mortar to OJT Susan L. Coleman PhD, CPT, Susan L. Coleman PhD, CPT Dr. Susan Coleman, CPT, is the Chief of Human Performance Technology for Intelligent Decision Systems, Inc. (IDSI). IDSI delivers training and human performance-based services, products, and solutions that are successfully implemented and maintained in our clients' operational environments. Susan has a PhD in Instructional Technology and has analyzed performance and designed and developed performance solutions since 1983. She has spent the last 9 years analyzing and designing training systems for the military. Susan has presented nationally on the application of instructional systems design and performance improvement. Joe retired from the military with 20 years of service, including 3 years of Training Command experience as an instructor, curriculum developer, and schoolhouse manager. Since joining IDSI, Joe has worked on several analyses and evaluations of military training schools and the development of numerous associated e-learning and OJT programs. He is currently the Project Lead and leading Instructional Designer for the development of several web-based courses for a large industrial client.
