Abstract
Abstract: This submission merges poetry with reflection to discuss the political and stylistic influence Elizabeth Cook-Lynn has had on the author's research and writing. Through an engagement with Cook-Lynn's publications and her papers donated to South Dakota State University's Archive and Special Collections, the author discusses Cook-Lynn's impact on academia and the ways her writing can facilitate support for Native students as they navigate the violence of academic spaces.
