Abstract

The purpose of this study was to investigate theoretically the relationship between transformational leadership (the “Magnetic Manager) and organizational success. The transformational leadership and social exchange theories are the underpinning theories for this paper. The literature on the concept of transformational leadership, its forms, and organizational success was thoroughly reviewed. The paper found that a transformational leader is a critical success factor that can bring out changes in employees and the organization as a whole. The study concludes that there is a significant relationship between transformational leadership and organizational success. The study recommended that organisations celebrate successes. Transformational leaders should recognise and celebrate the successes of their followers. This helps to build morale and motivation, which can lead to success.
