Abstract

We have investigated topological phase transition in 8-Pmmn borophene. This transition from band insulating to topological insulating phase can be tuned by an applied electric field which can vary the band gap induced by spin-orbit coupling. Signatures of this topological phase transition are exhibited in the Hall conductivities. Charge, spin and valley Hall conductivities in the two phases are determined using linear response theory.
