Abstract

This chapter discusses the topological dynamical techniques for differential and integral equations. The first point one notice is that by imbedding the differential or integral equation in a flow, this introduces a new viewpoint or a new language for studying solutions of these equations. One expects that the new language will play a unifying role in the study of a large class of problems. The picture does not end with language but more importantly, it does include technique. Specifically, one is interested in examining how the structure of the theory of topological dynamics can be used to analyze the solutions of differential and integral equations. However, there are a few results where the viewpoint and techniques of topologicaldynamics seem to be essential for the analysis and proof.
