Abstract

The aim of this paper is to examine the attempts made by some astronomers (Wurm, Challis, Carlini, and Gaussin), in the Nineteenth Century, for extending the Titius–Bode law to satellite systems and also for finding other formulae for planetary distances. Many flaws and naiveties that make vain these researches will be shown.
