Abstract

Paper analyses the problems of promotion and enahancement of the vocational choices in the modern paradigm of social education and in the activity of social pedagogue. There are discussed factors which influence purposeful decision making on the vocational choice and outlined the roles of social pedagogue in this field. Article also analyses the relationship between the development of personality, social education and purposeful decision making on the vocational choice. The results of empiric research permit to draw the conclusion, that one of very important new functions in the activity of social pedagogue is the rational application of the methods of vocational choice in helping pupils to make their choice of occupation. Enhancement of the rational choice of occupation amongst the pupils is aimed to help pupils to identify their individual vocation and to provide the meaning for their existence in the professional activity. Integration of the methods for enhancement of rational vocational choice in the curriculum of social education would help pupils to form objective attitude towards occupations and posibilities of self-realization in the world of work.
