Abstract

This article points out the role of the social pedagogue, as one of the main organizers of the Child’s wellbeing commission, deals with the analysis of the importance of a social pedagogue work as a commission member in supporting social-pedagogical help for pupils in schools. With reference to the analysis of a scientific literature it may be stated that one specialist is not able to solve social- pedagogical problems in school, therefore there a great need of complex support for pupils in schools. The article contains the qualitative research of the social pedagogue role, as a Child’s wellbeing commission’s organizer and supporter of the social-pedagogical assistance in school over the period of October – December months of 2010 (the Child’s wellbeing commission was named as a Team of Social-pedagogical assistance, until LR Minister of Education and Science passed a law on the 11 th of April, 2011). Final results of the research detect that the Child’s wellbeing commission in the process of giving social pedagogical assistance in school meets such challenges as inner disagreements between member of the Child’s wellbeing commission, parents’ indifference, not adequate evaluation of a problem, students’ disability to trust others, their detachment and negative outlook of the institutions which should give support to teachers and children in solving problems.
