Abstract

Hydroelectric power plants are strongly site-dependent in their design and performance. Tidal power plants are no exception. The paper focuses on double basin tidal power plants and in particular on plants with double basins which can be hydraulically linked due to their proximity to each other. When nature provides the tides and the basins, a linked-basin tidal power plant can make a valuable addition to any electric utility system.
