Abstract
This research aims to develop and validate (i) processing aids for scientific texts in French L2 through hyperlinks and (ii) tools for pre- and post-test assessment as concept maps. An analysis of complex system biology has given rise to an experimental text consisting of intra- and inter-system information as well as hyperlinks composed of both types of information. Participants perform three readings followed by three reminders, reading without help, reading with hyperlinks and additional information of type intra-(G1) or intersystem (G2) and reading followed by a remote revision in pairs. The group G2 pairs demonstrate the best recall. Concept maps post-test indicate that they have understood intra-system scientific concepts and the links between the concepts of the different sub-systems.
